Busy Busy Busy!

Usually I don't update because I haven't been up to much, but that's not the case this time! We've been so flat out since last weekend and this weekend is proving to be no exception.

We got a little cat today, we've called her Tui because she looks like the Tui bird. She's all black (well, dark brown) with a little white spot on her front. She's really nervous and timid, but we've been playing with her quite a lot and she's starting to purr (and drool) now. She's 3 years old, she's an SPCA cat.

We're settling in well to the house. Today we've done the following:

Bought a ladder
Bought blinds & curtains
Bought pots and pans
Bought a cat

I've cleaned the drains out with my new ladder, they were full of crap! I mean, so full that mosquitos would have been up there breeding in the summer. Not anymore hopefully.

There's still lots of boxes to unpack, we're trying to do one or two a day. We don't have enough places to put stuff yet, so it's a bit of a hassle still. We've got pretty much everything major unpacked though.

Including the coffee machine! It wasn't working at all, it made noises but no water came out. But I pumped it full of vinegar and then BOOM it exploded in a fit of steam and vinegar and it's been working fine ever since. Pumping out tasty coffee for me every morning.

We've got a free TV (thanks to Graham from work!) which is a bonus. It's an old FAT TV, but it works!

It's been a crazy week. Work has been hectic, we haven't really sat down much at home either. But we're really happy in our new house. Thanks everyone who's sent card, they've been fantastic.
