Hi there groovers, hope you're all doing well. I haven't updated you on the state of the Chillis in the last few postings, but fear not because they are growing along quite nicely. I really need to get them out of their pots though and put them into bigger pots, because they have stopped shooting up at the massive rate that they were. They are going to be super tasty though!
I was just leaving work tonight when one of our major routers crashed. "Bugger" thought I as the boss called, commanding me to drive into town to look at it (can your boss do that? I guess so) Thankfully after sitting in traffic for 10 minutes I got a phonecall telling me that I could turn around and go home, it had rebooted itself. Which was a bonus really (not for our customers though) because it ment I didn't have to drive through all that shit peak hour traffic.
Mum sent me a letter today, I am most impressed. Many thanks mother, it's lovely to get. I especially like the fridge magnet you sent me which reads "Because I'm Your Mother That's Why". Mum's also learning French (which I didn't know) and sent me a little bit of the letter in french. I get the gist of most of it, but I'll have to plug some of the words into BabelFish later on to see what they mean.
Lots of people at work have got new phones in the last couple of days which royally poops me off. They've got the same one as me, but the company paid for theirs, I had to pay for mine. To be fair though, there's nothing wrong with the company provided one apart from the simple fact I hate it. The reason they all got new ones was because their old phone was at least 4 years old. Yup, we're a Telco and we can't keep up to date with the most simple of things.
NB: For any bosses reading, I really love the company. All hail the company.
As a result of people getting these new phones, 3 people have got me to flash their phone to remove all the Vodafone Live! shit off of it. So I'm not the only one who hated it (in case you all thought I was werid. Well, werider. You know what I mean)
I have discovered the most insanely tasty yoghurt in the world. It's called "Creamy Latte" and it's just the best. When I first tried it the other day at work I nearly needed a clean pair of undies, it's THAT good. If you live in NZ try some, it's made by the Fresh n Fruity people. Mmmmm.
Speaking of food, I sat down the other day and realised on average of late I've been spending WAY to much money on eating out. I won't mention how much exactly because it's too depressing, but suffice to say I've made a bit of resolve to watch much more closely what I spend. What's the point of looking back in 10 years time and going "Well, I don't have enough money for a house, but hell, I never had to cook!" Yea, not much. More cooked at home meals for Timmy!
Other stupid things I have done this week include nearly frying my laptop's DVD player trying to make it Region Code Free. It stopped working totally until I cried at it a lot and reflashed it's firmware. Had that not worked I could have had to explain that my laptop's DVD player didn't work anymore because I'd done what the manufactuer strickly disallows you to do. Whoopsie.
I also spilt curry or something all over my new T-Shirt (We Like Tha Moon!) but I guess that's to be expected of me.
Enough babble, go and toast something.
Tim
PS: Oh yea, the reason for the title, it's raining today in Auckland. Normally I'd bitch about this but it's been so nice the last couple of weeks (month? Maybe longer) that I can't really bitch about it. Plus the sun's out again now. It's amazing.
