Flatmate's Revenge!

Submitted by TiM on

Today was a fantastic Auckland day, one of those rare delights. It was sunny, not-to-humid and a perfect day for getting outside and getting some sun, which we did.
I got woken up nice and early (8:30am) because Emi's cat Cleo decided to knock over a bottle of Blue Pepsi (tasty stuff, and I don't usually much like Pepsi) that was beside the bed. So I woke up in a shock with Pepsi leaking all over the place and had to mop that up quick.
Emi's friend Katrina and her cousin Linda were up for the night too, and they'd been kept awake late at night by Emi's soon-to-be-moving-out-because-he's-a-fucknozzle flatmate playing loud shit dance music until 1am or so. So when Kat and Emi got up, Kat jumped on the piano and Emi got on the flute and they made a very nice loud racket to have their revenge. We don't know if Marcus woke up or not, but I think he'd have had to with all the noise. I should have started singing too, but it would have been unfair to the girls. No one need be subjected to my singing.

Once we'd finished playing hassle-the-loser-flatmate we all went over to Takapuna market to see what there was to see, which really wasn't much in my opinion. Lots of crappy junk that you can buy at the $2 shop and so many people there that you can't really look at anything for a good lenght of time before you're getting pushed along with the crowed. Still we had a good time and Emi scored a really nice potted plant thingy for only $8

After that we went up to Northhead, which is one of those old navy bases dug into the side of a mountain. We had a torch all ready so we could go exploring in the tunnels but they've closed them all off now so we couldn't. It was a amazing place though with fantastic views of Auckland and Rangatoto, plus all the boats out sailing. We laid in the sun for about 30 minutes, before I started complaining because I had my jeans on and I was boiling.
Then we went down to Devonport, got a bite to eat in one cafe then went and played pool and had a few beers in one of the pubs there.

All in all a pretty good weekend really.

Mum and Bill are coming over to Auckland for Christmas! I'm looking forward to that, though I'll be over to Sydney on this company thing before they're over here to see me. It'll be cool when they come over though, even though I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to get much leave over the time they're here. Still, I KNOW I get xmas day off and that's all that really matters. We can cook up a sasuage or something and cut that into 3 pieces to share for xmas lunch.

I have discovered online shopping at Real Groovy. This is probably not a good thing, because they can get all this great music from all over the place. Someone take my credit card away from me.

Dad is back in Auckland tomorrow night, so I'm going to go out for tea with him and Jan. Then they can come back and check out my oh so funky Northcote apartment. And my fridge.

Umm that's about it really. I have to get my NZ drivers licence and I've decided this week is the week to actually knuckle down and do it.
How many times have I said that? I really mean it this time though, honest.

I haven't looked in the server logs to see who actually picked "I worship that song", but I think whoever it was probably needs some professional help :-)

Two things...blue Pepsi sucks more than ordinary Pepsi(and that's really saying something!!) and yeah right..the day Tim gets his NZ licence is the day I will eat my hat!(or if he does get it remember it's just an expression!:) )
