I went to the Doctors today. Werid isn't it. I've had a live in Dr for the last 2 months, and 3 days after she leaves to go back I actually need to see a Dr because I'm sick. The world works in mysterious ways. But anyway, I either have:
1) A really bad throat infection.
2) Glandular Fever.
I'm hoping like hell it's the first one. The Dr said it could be 50/50 as to what it is, but she's given me a bunch of antibiotics. She said if I don't get better in 48 hours or so, I'll have to go in for some blood tests and stuff. Yaaaaaa I'm so happy. Not.
You have to get a little bit worried when the Dr looks in your mouth and says "My God! That is not what I was expecting to see at all". That freaked me out a little.
So all I've done today, and probably will do tomorrow is sit around feeling sick. Though I feel a lot better now, pretty much all I've done all day is sleep or watch movies. Speaking of movies, have you seen 2001: A Space Odyssey? Man, that's one fucked up piece of movie crap. It's 2 hours of werid music and werid images, with a bit of a story that doesn't really make much sense thrown in for a laugh. I read the book ages ago and I loved it. Obvious Mr Kubrick was smoking a little too much crack when he came up with the screenplay though.
So it's 10:30pm now and I don't feel the least bit tired. I bet my sleeping patterns are going to get all fucked up because of me being sick.
Bianca just called me about an hour ago! She sounds like she's getting on well back in Brazil. It was 6am there when she called, she's just on her way to start work at a new ICU. Draining lots of goopy shit from people etc she reckons. Sounds like a ball! :)
She send me some more photos too today, when I can be bothered I'll post them, seeing as everyone loves photos.
Update: I've just been bothered to post them. Check them out here [link removed].
I might be moving out of here soon, did I mention that on the website already? I can't remember. My friend Hera is looking for a flatmate and I like the idea of living in a house again with a backyard etc. The lease is for a year too, so it wouldn't be like my first place in Mt Eden where I was just getting settled in and the lease ran out. I was going to go and visit her tomorrow and check the place out (and go out to a music in the park thingy) but I don't think I'll be doing that now, I'll be staying at home and trying to get well.
Right, time to go and watch "Dude, where's my car?"
Probably a terrible movie, but I hope at least it'll provide me with a little light entertainment.
Rock On.
