Plane Fights

Submitted by TiM on

Made it to Wellington this morning, finally. I arrived at the check-in counter only to be told by a overly cheery person that my flight had been cancelled and I was now booked to fly on Air New Zealand. I don't like flying AirNZ, firstly they're a Kiwi company and I'd much rather support an Australian company. Secondly they had a little period of time there where bits kept falling off their planes. I kept an eye out today but both engines seemed to be attached as we landed. I was only an hour and a half late to work.

We went surfing again yesterday, we're turning into real pros. I got up a few times as did Sarah. If the surf had been better we'd probably have done better too. The only downside was Sarah fell off and bashed her back quite badly, it was bruising up nicely last night. I really like our board though, I'm really starting to get the hang of it and I think I can almost steer a little bit. Hard to tell when we're only playing in the silly surf, the big stuff is still a bit too scary (and too far to swim) for me.

I forgot to mention we had another EarthQuake last week. I felt it too and announced it this time. I was right. I'm a Quake expert now. They're boring. Other items of not-news include this article in the New Zealand Herald, again mistakenly thinking that Australians care at all about New Zealand. I love the last paragraph.

Our TradeMe items are doing well. Up for sale at the moment you can find couches, squash racquets, guitar amps and various members of Sarah's extensive bag collection. Talking of extensive collections I should sell some of my T-Shirts. But I love them all too much. My favourites include:

The Goodies
Satan
Stop what you're doing your pub needs you
Smoke Crack and Worship Satan
Boags Shirts (Hardly get worn for fear of wearing out)
Beatallica x2
Powerlines
Reel Big Fish x 2
Timmy welcomes you to Turity Tandy Bay. Totally holey and unwearable, but still loved.
Jesus and the pies (a "Trendy" Mambo one, but still a favourite)
All TripleJ ones, I think 3 at the last count. Maybe 4.
Bay Espresso (a recent purchase)

I'm like a women with shoes. Arrrgh!

rob is the same with his t-shirts. i have to steal them away. he doesn't notice they're missing, but if he comes across them in the salvos bag (they sell old t-shirts and stuff to mechanics) he gets very indignant and reclaims them before they can make their journey.

but you have to keep turity tandy bay.
