So I finally started to play around with homebrew stuff on the PS2 yesterday. Wow, I can't believe I was burning new Matrix Infinity updates to a CD each time I wanted to upgrade the FW. Now I just copy the update onto a USB stick and off you go, it's so easy. Sure I had to fluff around with burning stuff onto a CD to get uLaunchElf onto the MemoryCard, but now I've done that it boots up every time and I can access the USB stick really easily, or even via a network cable. Then you just run the FW upgrade elf from the USB and you're in business. Hard to believe it's really that easy.
So it's kinda cool, though I don't really see what ALL the excitement is about. MyPS2 I'm still trying to get to work, SMS is kinda cool but not really that great. I got it to play an xVid of Oscar running around, but it's played too fast and there's no sound. Maybe have to experiment a bit more with it.
Anyway, back to work.
