Teeth Fixed + Making Stuff To Rot Your Teeth.

Submitted by TiM on

Went back to the dentist today for my teeth cut 'n' polish and my filling. First of all was the teeth cleaning and that was very straight forward and painless, until she asked me how often I flossed. She kept pretending she couldn't hear me when I said "never". I always thought flossing was just some crap that colgate made up, but it seems that dentists actually do want you to floss. Who'd have thought?

Next up was Mr Dentist and that really wasn't too bad either. A quite jab for the local and the whole area was pretty numb for the little Bzzzzzt drill to come out and do its thing. Then the filling and it was all over. It was a lot quicker than I thought it'd be.

I got the dentist to fill out my Insurance pre-approval form while I was there, hopefully if it all goes smoothly with the Insurance I won't even have to part with the $LOTS for the wisdom teeth removal, they should just be able to sort it out directly with the surgeon. I hope it works like that, experience tells me it probably won't.

Today I bottled 10 bottles of ginger beer! Went and got the sugar and lemons and fluffed around outside with the mozzies for 30-40 minutes. This batch tastes a lot better than the batch I made a couple of years ago, though only time will tell how good it really tastes. It's too sweet at the moment and flat, but the yeasties will soon take care of both those problems.

My "real" beer is still bubbling away behind me, it's settled down a little bit with the bubbling but still going very strong. I think it'll be ready to bottle probably on Friday night.

Oscar's fine, still happy and hopping around. I've had to trick him a few times to get him to take his antibiotics, but I really don't think he needs them anyway so I'm not going to bother anymore.

Yours in all manner of beers,

Tim
