I've been having such a good time down here in Sunny Napier that I haven't really bothered to get out my laptop that many times, let alone be stuffed to put a decent entry in.
Christmas day was great, as was boxing day. We've done a bunch of fun things, a bit of shopping, lots of lying around in the sun. I've had a good chance to play some of my cool PlayStation games (we're on holidays after all!) and really we've had a fantastic time. Today I went over to Tony and Paula's place for some of Tony's famous ribs. Now I know why they're world famous (in New Zealand at least)
Yesterday we went to the local dolphin park and saw the dolphin show which, while not super flashy was still good to go and see. The breed of dolphin they have are only supposed to live a maximum of 20 years and they ones they have are 36 and 38, hard to believe they're still performing. Also once they die it means the park will have to shut down because they're not allowed to get anymore. There was also a baby sea lion and some pengiuns, it was a nice afternoon in the sun.
Tonight we played Monopoly and Sarah won. I could have fought on I guess but really she was dominating so I did the brave thing and rolled over and folded. Oh well.
For all the time we've spent down here that's not much of a report, but we haven't done that much exciting stuff, just taking it easy and doing lots of sunning/swimming! Back to Auckland on Wednesday though.
Tim
