It's So Hot!

Well it's not so much hot as it is muggy as hell. My apartment is so blerg to be in, because the sun's streaming in and the windows only open about 8 cm. Not really enough to let much hot air out, though having the fan on does help.

I sent out Christmas cards today. This is the first time in many years that I've actually done this properly. I thought I was being really nice and was quite proud of myself until Sarah said to me "That's quite a mature thing to do now, isn't it?" I went from being quite pleased with myself to thinking "Oh shit! I'm OLD!"

Sarah's party tonight! Everything is in readiness, the Vodka Jellies are made, the decorations are at 300% now (more lights have gone up since yeserdays posting) and as I've already mentioned, it's a nice hot day which means it should make for a nice night out on the deck. That's assuming the rickety old deck doesn't collapse. Tell me, would you pay $600,000 for a house with a deck that

Got my watch repaired today! I looked down at it yesterday and it was totally dead. I was pretty sure it wasn't the battery as it's only 2 years old and hadn't been dim or anything. Sure enough the watch man told me the battery was fine and that he had to replace some small part of it. I'm pretty impressed he could do that on a digital watch, he was obviously pretty impressed too because he charged me $60. That seems quite high, but I guess it probably took him an hour or so of his time to do it, so it's not that unreasonable.

More weekend work on Sunday, still trying to find the needle in a haystack bug that's haunting my customers network (and my dreams at night!) Hopefully we'll get it figured out this weekend, cross your fingers for me.
