Another Hungover Report

Submitted by TiM on

Rage against too much beer and too many Margaretas. That's not how you spell it but do I look like a dictonary? No, I don't. I look hungover. See? [link removed] I'm in at work because some stuff has broken in a big screaming way. Why am I typing this instead of fixing the fault? There isn't a real lot I can do at the moment so I thought I'd take a moment to update my webpage.

So yea, I went out last night with a bunch of people from work to see off Michelle. She's leaving good ol' TelstraSaturn to start her own business as a masage person. I'd say masoos but I can't spell that. Anyway we had a great night last night, had lots of good food at the Mexican cafe where I finally got to try the chilli icecream. This stuff rocks! It's really creamy and...

Why I am too old to drink two days in a row!

Hi again all!

Went on a mystery bus trip last night, with free alcohol...it was a great bus trip but hence I don't rmemeber as much as I should. Though i do remember getting to one place and all the girls needed to go to the loo. The place appeared shut so they had to go outside, but actually they were trying the wrong door, very funny!!!! Well to me cause I got to go to the loo!:) Nah Seriously I rmemeber everything all the time..it's a curse!!

Started Weight Watchers as I need to lose a few kg's so I can keep up with the young un's! And so I can wow em when I go back and visit Auckland!:)

Hence alcohol doesn't go so well on that programme!!!!!!!But my friend said ya just don't count the points!

Having a party thrown for me tonight, in honour of me...

What a busy week it's been.

But finally it's over and I can't tell you how glad I about that. I had 2 major projects on the go that had to be completed by today, and thankfully they're now completed and out of the way. Time for a beer!

I listened to George Bush deliver his big speech on the radio in a taxi today. It basically sounds like they are going to lauch a big extended campaign against anyone they think is part of the attacks last week. It's a shame it has to come to that, but given all the stuff that's happened this week (stock market, air industry) it's not really suprising. Geesh I'm getting all deep for a Friday afternoon. Waiter! Another beer... I wish.

Going out tonight for a few drinks with the regular party animals from work. One of the girls from the Fault Management Centre is leaving so we're...

Evil Day

Submitted by TiM on

One of those days today that just sucks for whatever reason. Too much crap, too little time. Finally I yelled "stuff it" and stormed out of the office at 6pm. Well, I didn't really storm out, more of a sort of dodgy run so that no one else could hassle me about something.

Tomorrow I'm going out for coffee with another potential employee. We've already interviewed the person before, but they want one of the workers to just have a bit of a chat and ask a few questions and report back. Hey, the company is paying. I'll be drinking hot chocolate though. I nearly gave in this morning when I walked past the coffee machine, thinking to myself that prehaps one coffee wouldn't hurt. But then I knew that one coffee would be two then six, so I'm glad I didn't give in.

Nothing else exiciting to post, in...

Oh the power.

I've decided that job interviews are really a lot more fun when you're sitting on the other side of the desk. Myself and the boss interviewed 2 people today, and I wasn't at all nervous like I thought I would be. Unlike candidate number two who was so nervous he could hardly talk. I didn't really get a chance to ask all the hard hitting, evil probing questions I'd had prepared. If I had I think number two might have needed a box of tissues.

Apart from that today was pretty much fending off all the people who seem to like to call me to ask me questions about stuff. Most annoying. It's not made any easier by the fact that my workmate Tony is having two weeks off due to birth of his Son. I think you'll agree he's got a fairly valid excuse. Congratulations to Tony Paula and...

I've got a sore brain.

Day one of "pull your finger out Tim and stop being so lazy" has worked quite well. I managed to crawl out of bed at 6:30am and go for a walk, followed by a very healthy breakfast of fruit and crap. The only reason I'm writing this down here is because I'm still amazed myself, and I reckon in a few weeks time I'll look back on this day and think "oh yea, that's the day I went a bit nuts"

I've also decided to go cold turkey on the caffeine. I've been drinking way to much coffee of late and it really can't be good for me. Now I get the joy of this instead:

What are the symptoms of caffeine withdrawal?

Regular caffeine consumption reduces sensitivity to caffeine. When

caffeine intake is reduced, the body becomes oversensitive to

adenosine. In response to this oversensitiveness, blood pressure drops

dramatically...

First Entry from Sunny Christchurch

Submitted by KA on

Boo, Hiss to crappy Auckland weather! It's been 18 degrees the last three days in a row in sunny Christchurch!!:)

My stuff gets here today, minus a few things, which I forgot, and plus a couple of Tim's things. Oh well, everything will be in the right places sooner or later!

Jumping on the plane to go from Auckland to Chch (1.2 hour flight) was a scary experience. I'm already terrified of flying (mostly take-off) and they installed x-ray and metal detectors on domestic flights from Wednesday.

Well, the metal detector went off and I now realise how much metal is on me. My shoes had a metal piece in the back panel, my hairtie had a metal bit in it and my bracelet set it off as well. Not a whole lot of fun standing there while everyone is looking at you getting frisked!:)

Spring seems to have sprung...

Lazy Sunday.

Submitted by TiM on

What a boring day today was. I slept in and lazied about like a true couch potato. In fact the only exciting thing I did was go down to the mall and fight the sweaty masses at K-Mart to buy some cables to move the ADSL into the spare room. Having a box of wires and a computer in the middle of the lounge room floor doens't exactly make the place look tidy. But then again moving it all into the other room didn't really help tidy the place much anyway *sigh*

I have also decided today (gulp) that I'm going to try and get myself back in shape. I'm sure if you go through the old articles you'll find that I've said this about 5 times already. This time I mean it though! I do! Really! Please believe me? I've just got back from riding my BMX around the...

Bitch Moan Complain

Submitted by TiM on

Well after our excellent performance last week, we really poked it up today. We played like a pack of old ladies, myself included. I did manage to score a goal in the dying seconds of the game, giving us the result of 3-2. Still, I was lucky to score a goal, and it didn't reflect the rest of my game which was so bad that I think I should give up hockey and take up another sport. Why the hell isn't beer drinking a sport? I'm good at that. The fact that it was pissing with rain for the whole match didn't help us out at all either. We were wet, cold, and pissed off. Do you know how hard it is to see through glasses when it's raining? Yea yea, get contacts. I know. Plus all I did was eat Astroturf. I hope it's not toxic, because I swallowed...
