Fishing Trip

Submitted by TiM on

I went away yesterday with a bunch of people on a "fishing" trip. We actually did a little bit of fishing too. As well as 4 wheel driving, drinking beer, blowing things up, blowing cars up and various other silly things. I can't be bothered writing about it all now, I will tomorrow when I'm not so tired. It was a heap of fun, apart from a couple of dickheads that came along, one of whom was an Aussie too. No wonder the Kiwis give us shit, this guy was 3 beers short of a 6 pack.

Hopefully we got some good photos of various things with Tony's digital camera, so I'll post those photos later if they come out.

Bus Riding

Sitting on the bus again.

I hate this bus ride, it takes so long to get to work... Thankfully the documents I need to renew my Aussie one arrived yesterday. What didn't arrive tho is the document that says Ive had my full Aussie licence for more than 2 years. I need that before they'll give me a kiwi one. Slack Tassie licence people, hopefully that'll arrive tonight or on Monday.

I wish this Palm Pilot had a built in keyboard, writing on its little screen when the bus is this bumpy really doesn't cut it Im afraid!

Still no good news on getting the holes in the bathroom fixed. Mr LandLord claims he couldn't get into the flat yesterday because he forgot the key for the bottom lock. Hello Mr LandLord?? This isn't rocket science you know!

What a muppet. He said he's just going to have to trust...

We are "merging" with Clear. Our CEO just sent out this email...

From: "Jack Matthews"

To: "All TelstraSaturn All TelstraSaturn"

Subject: TELSTRASATURN TO MERGE WITH CLEAR

Introduction

I have two important announcements to tell you today.

The first is to announce an agreement that we have signed with Clear Communications

to merge the two companies. Second is my departure soon from the Company and the

appointment our new CEO, Rosemary Howard.

I will be visiting all the TelstraSaturn offices beginning with Auckland tomorrow,

Wellington on Monday and Christchurch on Tuesday to talk about this.

A New Company

Today is a significant day for telecommunications in New Zealand. TelstraSaturn has

bought CLEAR Communications Ltd, subject to regulatory approvals. This will see the

emergence of a stronger and more competitive player in the NZ market, bringing

together the skills of the people here at TelstraSaturn...

Extra-Rant with Cheese.

I haven't written a nice long rant in a while and I'm right in the mood to do one. So stop reading now if you can't stand my long rantings and their worse-than-terrible grammer. I think if my old english teacher read one of these she'd probably hand her resignation in the same day and become a dairy farmer.

I've decided I'm going to use this book/organiser icon just for extra long rants like this one. So click the read more thingy to read about TelstraSaturn buying Clear, the lazy-arse Mr LandLord and various other stupid rantings that really aren't worth the bytes of data they're stored on.

It sucks that we're buying Clear. That's a pretty major step for the company, not to mention the fact that we are pretty much now back under the control of Telstra Australia. AusStar (Saturn's parent company) was unable to make payroll last...

Just got back...

Went out tonight with my friend Elia, she's just finsihed her exams so she needed someone to go have a drink with. And when have I ever turned down the oppurtunity to have a lager? That's right friends, never. Well, maybe a few times, but only because I was sick or was having a bet with a Mister R. Fleming. Which I won.

We went down to this fantastic cafe/bar on the waterfront (it's called Euro), one of those really swanky places where they lick your boots if you spill a drop of beer on there. Still it was really nice to go and sit down, relax, watch the world go by. Mostly it was this fantastic cause it's a Monday night, I haven't been out on a Monday in ages. But it was also the perfect night for it, not too cold, no wind. You'd almost think you weren't...

Feking John Feking Howard Fek.

If you were one of the many million of morons who voted for John Howard in the latest election you should probably click here. And if you voted for Pauline Hanson WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU LOOKING AT THIS SITE FOR YOU FREAK?!?!?

Right, glad I got that out of the way. Obviously not enough people voted for the Chicken Party yesterday. Even though it was one I made up in my head at the time I voted, I expected to see it get a few other votes. Alas.

John Howard sucks.

Vote 1 Chickens!

I had a bit of a panic yesterday when I read the front page of the New Zealand Herald and realised that I probably had to vote too (I am a Australian Citizen after all.)

A quick phone call the the Australian Electoral Office told me that yes, I did have to vote or I'd get myself a nasty fine.

So this morning I walked downtown to the Australian Consulate to cast my vote. Finally for once it is a nice day, lots of sun and not too many clouds. It might even go the whole day without raining which'll be nice. I think I'm all sunburnt already.

When I got to the consulate there were about 50 other Aussies there too all lined up to vote. Took me a little while to get a paper and all that bollocks. I looked at the form and I couldn't see my...

Sittin on the bus out to Penrose at the moment. It takes about 30 mins to get to work, i can drive there in about 10 mins, but the stupid bus goes all over the show. It sucks, but i will be the lazy fucker who doesn't go and sit for his licence, so I have no one to blame but myself.

As per frikken usual now that its Monday its a perfect sunny day. i heard on radio this morning that the reason for the really bad weather the last few days has been cyclones coming in off the ocean.

Hmmm not much reason for writing this other than sitting on the bus is boring as hell.

Wow, iteresting the stuff u find in ur palm pilot. Thats a rant I never finished from Monday.

After drinks at work last a few of us "went out for bourbons"

Man...
