Remember that crap SuperTramp song?

Do you remember that really bad SuperTramp song that went "It's raining again, oh no, I'm losing a friend" etc over and over again? Well that's how it's been this frikking weekend in Auckland. The rain bit anyway. Plus that song just sucked, it was way to repeditive and annoying.

What else? Well really nothing, this has to be the most boring weekend on record since they started keeping records. It even rained so hard this arvo that my Sky TV stopped working. I mean, great. I have Sky TV to watch when it's pissing with rain, but because it's pissing with rain I can't! The TV is against me! Everything is against me.

I'm going to get my drivers license this week, I have to. Much as I've been joking about it, now that I'm moving out to Penrose I'm going to have little choice but to drive each day. Either that or work from home and I can't really do that every day, nice as that would be.

Actually I did do a bit of stuff this weekend, despite the rain. I went into work both days to help out the IT guys, they've been flat out moving everyone around the place (us out to Penrose, people from other buildings to Queen St where we used to sit, bastards) etc and they needed a bit of a hand doing it. I drunk too much of their beer on Friday night to be able to say no anyway.

I also went riding tonight, finally it cleared up about 6pm so I was able to get a good ride around the place in. I can ride up the big hill outside my place all the time now, a sure fire sign that I'm getting fitter, I never used to be able to do that. I'd get halfway up the hill then think "If I don't stop pedalling now I'm going to die." And as much as I wanted to get fit, common sense used to prevail in that particular situation.

I was also going to go and by myself a budgie this weekend, I've been thinking about it for ages, but Denny suggested I shouldn't get one because it's cruel to keep them in cages etc. But I decided I'd always let mine out etc, so that wasn't a good reason not to get one. Today though I spoke to my mother (aren't Mothers always full of wisdom?) and she gave me about 500 reasons why getting one wasn't a good idea, including the "who's gonna feed it when you go to Australia" one, which I think won it for her. Plus if I leave the budgie outside the cats around here will probably eat it. So congratuations mother, another round of common sense Vs Tim Harman to you :)

Enough of my ranting, time to go clean up, have a shower and do stuff.

PS: Just rereading this article, this is another Tim H special where grammer really just flew out the window as I was typing it. I type as it think stuff through in my head, not good when it comes to typing it out. What are you? Stupid?" just so I can weed out it of all the other hate mail I get. :)
