Saturday - Matress Day!

Well it's a nice humid day here in Auckland, just the sort of day you want to run around hunting for a second hand matress....

Not knowing how long it'll be before I manage to get paid by work (I've heard 2 more week type rumours.) I decided to go and get a 2nd hand matress. A call to the trust Salvo's told me I could get a nice 2nd hand matress for only $20 if I went to a place called Lynn's Mall.

This place turned out to be a 20 minute drive from the Centre of Auckland. At least I found a semi-OK matress, paid my $25 and then set about buying sheets and stuff.

I *thought* I'd brought myself a nice doona thingy. Instead it turns out to be some werid cover thingy that goes over a doona. Anyway, it'll keep me warm, at least until I get paid at which point I'm going to buy a nice Futon, a big fluffy doona, and a large can of petrol to torch the current effort.

I'm sitting in an Internet Cafe at the moment, about to go down to the waterfront to see if I can sus out just were exactly they sail Hobies around here. There are billions of big boats, and I've already had an offer to sail one of these Wednesday night. But no one seems to sure where exactly Hobies/Cat's in General sail. Oh well. I've got 2 years...
