It's Saturday afternoon. Beth and Theo are in bed, there was no swimming this morning so we took them into town to the playground to have some fun. They both loved it, Theo just loves going on the bouncy thing. He holds on really well with both hands and just smiles and makes happy "Ahhhhhhhhh" noises the whole time. Beth ran around and played on 20 different things in the space of 10 minutes, as she does. She also did a great "seagull" on the swings. Or seagirls as she likes to call them. We bought them home and they were both happy to go to bed which is good!
It's been a good week, both Beth and Theo have been a bit snotty (and me too for a few days) but it's just an annoying cold, not one that really knocks you out or anything. Beth's also had a nasty cough but it's slowly clearing up today. Theo is getting better every day with his few little words, "Ta" is one he says now when you give him things.
I caught the giant rat that's been living in the sheds out the back. Poor ratty, I always feel bad having to trap these animals, I know it's cold and he/she was just looking for a place to live. But that involves pooing in all my things and eating string/wood then I'm sorry but it's time to go. I've also set some more traps up in the roof, I haven't heard many noises up there of late but when I checked one trap yesterday it'd been set off but didn't have anything in it. So I will keep checking for them for the next few weeks to try and put an end to any rodent activities.
The SkyTV replacement has been going well - no issues/hitches with the replacement box. It's quite versatile too, you can view things that it's recorded on your laptop/phone. It can play movies off the server in the cupboard, so everything I've downloaded over the past year I can easily watch on demand. Very happy with it really, it's better than the Sky box was and we no longer have to pay Sky $100 a month or whatever their rates were.
New bike helmet is awesome. New glasses are going well. Not much else to say I don't think! It's been quite cold the last few days in the mornings, Winter is on the way. That said, it's often still quite warm during the day. Oh they've started road works right outside our office. It's going to be a noisy couple of months!
