It's been a super busy week at work with the Spark project that I've been working on. Quite frustrated and stressed out yesterday, but things are much better today because I feel like I got heaps done yesterday and today's been a nice sunny day.
Theo had a check-up with the physio yesterday, the same lady who came to look at Beth's head when she was little. The lady said to Sarah "yes it's a shame that wasn't caught earlier" which is so annoying because Sarah asked people about it earlier and we were told not to worry. Anyway, Theo just has some weak muscles in his legs and he should come right as rain in a few more months. She was also amazed at how big he was, Sarah explained that yes, he does love to eat his food up. The other night when we were having curry he had two spoons and was spooning one in after the other.
Took Beth and Theo up to the playground this morning, Theo walked around everywhere and had a great time. He even walked from the playground over to the ducks which was very impressive, though toward the end he did just sit down on the ground, look at me and say "No. No."
He's getting so good at understanding what you're telling him and following instructions. Last time I told him in his room "Walk into the bathroom and give Beth a kiss tonight" and off he toddled, doing just that. Then he came toddling back, picked up Bae and was ready for bed. He's such a good, easy going little fella, I'm glad his legs are going to be OK. I mean he's walking everywhere now which is good, but he still walks very funny.
Had to get the car fixed this week, when I was in the garage last Sunday I noticed some big thick grease drops under the car. Not good! I took it onto Pit Stop and thankfully all that was required was an internal boot had to be replaced and it all repacked with grease. Less than $200 which is still a lot but much less than the $500 I was imagining.
Caught two giant ratties up in the ceiling space during the week. Both of them were quite huge. And the trap's gone off a few times since, but each time the culprit has escaped. It came time to set the traps when I got woken up at 5:30am by two things (I assume rats) fighting in the roof above the bed, screaming and sqeaking and making a racket as they scampered about. Now they're having a lie down in big black garbage bin. I feel a bit bad, they're just trying to live their life too, but when your life has to cut into my limited sleep budget, well, game over to you mr Rat thing.
