You have to be kidding me

It looks like Theodore James has Chickenpox.  Yes, the same Theodore James who I took up to get vaccinated against it ~8 months ago.  We did know that there was only a 94% coverage, whatever exactly that means.  Anyway he had a big werid spot on his face on Thursday night/Friday morning, but we didn't think anything of it.  Yesterday after his bath we noticed a lot more, very little spots on him.  This morning there wasn't any more spots, but they ones he does have look like Chickenpox.  Sarah's kept him home for the day and is going to take him up to the Dr's I think to confirm if it is/isn't Chickenpox.  If it is it'll mean a week off kindy.

Went to HopCon2 on Saturday afternoon.  It was such a great afternoon!  I stuck to the "tasting" size of 150ml, so I got through about ~15 different beers.  Adrian was there along with a bunch of his mates, as well a bunch of my workmates too.  I shuffled between talking to Adrian and his mates and my workmates.  It was a perfect day, the sun was shining, the music was good.  Brave was there, as were a bunch of other local brewers that I hadn't heard of or hadn't really tasted before.  Such a great day, so much good beer to taste!  Some really bizzare ones too, but most of them.  Sarah came to pick me about 6:30 and I poured myself into the car!

Wind back to Friday night, Beth has been talking heaps about her friend from kindy Gwen.  So we organised a playdate/sleepover with her on Friday night, which was great for both of them.  Of course they couldn't stop giggling and wiggling, I had to threaten to split them up about 9:30pm or so.  Beth said "But where will you make Gwen sleep?" and I said "Gwen will keep sleeping right here in your room, you'll have to sleep in the spare room Beth" and the look on her face told me she was NOT expecting that reply!  Anyway it seemed to work, they were finally both asleep at 10pm or so when I went to check them.

Saturday morning did the usual thing of making them pancakes, this time for Gwen as well.  Then I took Theo for a bike ride up along the river, while Sarah took Gwen home with Beth.  Had a great morning with Theo anyway, he really enjoyed the bike ride.

Sunday morning we took the kids for another bike ride, this time Beth wanted to ride her bike so we went down along the motorway on the bike/walking path until we ended up in Pirami.  We were going to go a bit further but Sarah's bike seat went bung and Beth was super tired already.  We found this great little hidden cafe/coffee roasting place though with a huge play area for the kids, they had a great time.

It was a slow bike back home but we made it.  Then we went up t the bikeshop to get Sarah's bike repaired, then to Ahuriri so that Sarah could go for a swim in the Ocean with her new wetsuit to try it out.  I took Biscuit with us and did some training/work with him while the kids played in this excellent sandpit area someone had made on the beach full of toys etc.  It was great!

Oh yes, also Joseph has got Chickenpox too.  I'm a walking disaster.

Then we all went home tired, sleepy, had dinner and went to bed.
