Well It's nearly Christmas. I should really get out and do some Christmas shopping, although I have sent quite a few cards already. I hope they arrive to everyone in Australia on time. Knowing my luck (and how brillant Australia Post isn't) they won't arrive for another 2 months. Trust me, they have been sent!

I've done quite well on the presents front in the last few days. So far 4 packages have arrived here at work with my name on them. At least we have a Christmas tree at the flat now (It was there Friday night when I arrvied) so I have something to put them all under.

The Auckland streets are packed with people when I go out at lunchtime now. If you think Hobart is bad for Christmas shopping, come to Auckland! It's almost shoulder to shoulder. You know it's bad when you're fighting old ladies to cross at the road (and the old lady is winning)

Rob and Denny (good friends) sent me another audio tape the other day, which was really nice. It's just them talking, and Rob interviewing people at his work etc. It's really funny, and I've started recording one to send back to them. Makes me really miss Hobart though. And of course there is the Tru Brick Story that Rob submitted yesterday. Long Live Tru Brick!!

Work is still going really well, we're a bit busy at the moment because there is (as always) lots of work to try and get done before Christmas arrives. We're still having management issues, but I don't think anyone is about to resign anymore. Prehaps the Christmas spirit has helped to mellow everyone out. Or it might just be all the beer we've been drinking. Who can tell!

Time to go home!

5 Days Till Christmas!

as a representative of australia's fine mail delivery service i feel it necessary to point out that if your cards did not arrive for christmas (and i presume they haven't), it is entirely your fault for not posting them early enough, or, due to the inferior service of new zealand post (or whatever your "equivalent" is called) for not getting them out of the country. rest assured i was working until 1:45 in the morning at hobart mail centre to clear the mail on the 22nd, and there was no delivery delay.
