It's Thursday in Bali and of course that means that our holiday is drawing ever closer to an end. But never fear, I'm not focused on that at the moment! We've just got back from a nice morning of snorkeling on the beach, our hotel drive us down and we swam around for an hour or so before heading back here to our room. It's a super scorching hot day today, there's a few clouds but none stopping the sun from beating down.
Yesterday was pretty much a lost day. We packed up our stuff from Cicada and our transportation arrived at 11am pretty much on the dot to take us to new place. We thought the drive would take 3 hours but it was more like four, but of course now I think about it we did stop along the way to visit a Luwak Coffee place. That's the coffee where the Luwak eats the beans then poops them out again. We had a big tasting platter of various coffees and paid the extra $5 each to have a taste of the Luwak which was very nice coffee. They had lots to purchase in the gift shop (of course) but it looked like it might have been sitting around out there for months in the hot sun and it was $80 a bag so I passed.
Eventually we made it to our accommodation after taking what seemed like the backest of back roads, zoomed over 100 hills and Sarah somehow managed to hold her carsickness in. Our accommodation is amazing just like the last place, our our private infinity pool and a nice air-conditioned room. Breakfast this morning was huge, you get to pick two things so I had chocolate pancakes and syrup followed by bacon, eggs and all that sort of stuff. Plus coffee and juice.
Oh yes last night we just sat upstairs and watched the sunset, ate a pizza and watched the terrible Harry Potter movie that was playing. Not my cup of tea at all.
Tuesday night we had dinner at Happy Chappy Chime which is not the most traditional of places to eat dinner in Indonesia but far out, that was so damn fine Chinese food, no wonder it was so highly recommended by all the reviews etc.
Sarah's about to go and have a massage treatment thing (once I wake her up from her snooze) and I'm going to go for a wander around out of the posh comfort of the resort and into the real world!
