I put myself on the SPCA emergency roster a few weeks ago, so I wasn't really suprised when I got a call yesterday asking if I'd go out today to help out. Not having a bootload else planned today I said that I'd be happy to. I rode my bike down to the train station and caught the train out there. At least there weren't any major dramas this time. All my flesh is still intact.
I'm getting the hang of my bike now. The trusty G-Spot (read back if you don't know why it's called that) is fairly nimble and easy to control, now I've got the hang of it. I certainly gave myself (and a number of motorists) a few adrenaline pumped moments today, darting in and out of traffic at high speed. Woohoo I feel like I'm 12 again :)
Oh yes and mother if you're reading that I was just making it all up.
I'm well and truely buggered now, it's a lot more effort to ride from Mt Eden to the train station and back than it was from the middle of town.
At least I'm getting fit, which I'll need to be now that I've joined the Mt Eden hockey club. Or at least, will be a member of once I pay my $320 season membership! Holy fek!! And I used to think KBSC was a bit expensive. How wrong was I? Anyway, I rock up for training next Thursday night, so I'm looking forward to that. My bank account isn't.
Happy Easter everyone, eat lots of chocolate and stuff.
It's time to go and relax and cook myself a healthy meal!
