Happy 5th Birthday Theodore Harman

Our little boy is 5 years old today!  I love this photo that Google Photos popped up to offer me today.

He was awake nice and early this morning, playing with the noisy robot one of his friends gave him at his birthday party yesterday.  Once he'd had some breakfast he unwrapped his presents and he got:

• My first scalextric
• A GUP-E from The Octonauts, plus all The Octonauts Characters
• A New Schoolbag and Lunchbox
• Some new SUPERFAST shoes
• A Transformer, plus a lovely hand-knitted Jumper and some pants from Granny
• A book about NZ Sea Creatures from Pa

So he's had a very good day, even though he did complain to Sarah this morning that he'd only got "3 new toys" to play with.  Someone's a bit greedy I think!

Yestderday we had a great day for his birthday, the littel cars Sarah hired turned up right on time and the kids had an utter blast.  They just drove around and around in circles on the front yard for 2 hours flat out.  They had such a good time though, lots of little crashes and I spent half the party moving kids cars so they weren't going to crash into walls/trees/each other.  But it was great to see all Theo's Kindy friends turn up, this was the first party where he's had mates come over so that was nice.  We were lucky the weather held out for us, but it did perfectly (it's raining and crap today) so that worked out really well.

We spent most of Saturday getting ready for the party, lots of gardening to make the front yard look nice.  Theo said a few times "We're doing al this work so when my friends come it looks nice, yeah?"  That's right little man, we sure are!  I'm glad I did it anyway, it certainly helped the front garden look a lot nicer than it has been.  Still haven't my new gutter leak though, gotta get around to doing that at some stage.

Anyway, Happy Birthday Theodore Harman! We're very proud of you, you're such a happy little fella and we're very glad to have you in our lives.
