Theo's first tooth popped out on Friday night, approx 2 hours after we landed in Auckland and he was still in Napier at Holly and Adrians! Argh. Oh well, we weren't there but we got to see a photo of it pretty quickly.
So yes, what's been happening... Well last weekend (3rd and 4th of October) was my 15 KM Trail Run around Cape Kidnappers. It was so amazing, the views were stunning, the weather was perfect. It was hard going, I started out running but soon as I started to hit the hills I had to mostly walk up them, or at least run very slowly! I managed to do the 15km in a decent time I think, 2 hours and 12 minutes. Next time I'll train a lot more and maybe try the 32km version, that'll be a real test of the ol' metal. But yes I am now in love with trail running, it's just so much more interesting than plodding around the road avoiding people walking their dogs and cars.
Last week was just a normal work week, though the first week where I only work 4 days. Sucks that word is so quiet that I have to be doing 4 days a week instead of 5, but that's just how things are at the moment. I'm doing all I can to try and drive up some sales, talking to people, writing proposals etc. Hopefully something will come of it before the wheels fall off entirely. Tough times I tell you.
Weekend just gone was Di's 40th Birthday party in Auckland. Flew up Friday night, had dinner with Ben and Di and some of their other friends, then Saturday morning helped them set up everything ready for the party. Party went from 2pm to about 2am, so a solid 12 hours! It was great though, they had heaps of nice friends to chat to, there was dancing and general fun, it was a great party. Sunday we were a bit slower than normal, but managed to get to the airport on time to make it back home. Big thansk to Grandma and Grandad for looking after the kids on Saturday and Holly and Age for doing the Friday night. Was nice to get away, but yea, just wish we had a bit more work coming into work!
Reggie went back to the SPCA on Friday, and it was perfect timing because it turns out that was the day he was allocated away from his owner into the hands of the SPCA, so they can now legally adopt him. He was a good little doggy, just annoying that he chewed so much stuff. But he's a puppy, it's to be expected. But yea just back to Biscuit now, we'll go out on Saturday to give Reginald K Donut a proper farewell.
That's it, a very quick update for the last 2 weeks, I'll try and fill it out a bit more later maybe.
