Friday

It's Friday, that's a good thing.  Friday's are great.  The Coffee Machine at work broke on  Wednesday.  That's not a good thing.  It's water tank broke and it's stil broken and it's sad.  I want the coffee machine to work.  I don't want to go and have to pay for coffee.

Horrible week with the boy who died in the Cave Tragedy at Abbey Caves.  I went caving once back at Hutchins and I hated it.  It was dark and underground and just spooky.  I can't imagine how horrible the whole thing must have been for the kids.  Good on that one Dad who thought "Why the fuck are they going caving in heavy rain when the cave is known to flood?" and pulled his kid from the trip.  Insane that it went ahead, I wonder what'll come of the investigation.  The whole thing really made me quite depressed - same as that horrible bouncy castle thing in Tasmania a few years ago.  Though I think the Tasmania thing is worse, I can't articulate why though.  Ugh.  Anyway it makes you go home and hug you kids extra hard I can tell you.

The kids have been playing "Cocoon" this week at bedtime.  Basically all I do is tuck them in extra hard into the doona (duvet) so they can't move.  They think it's great.  "Cocoon Me!" is the nighttime call now.

We got out the "My Brain Just Feels Rude" video again last night and watched it.  It never not make us laugh ourselves to death.  Theo's words, Beth's ernest questions.  It's got everything.  Theo get a bit upset when we watch it because he thinks we're laughing AT him but we've tried to explain it's just funny because of how you explain yourself and the way you're thinking, not that you're doing anything wrong etc.  I think he sees the humour.

Beth wanted to try and recreate the whole video, maybe another time though it was bedtime and we didn't want the fighting etc.

Wednesday night we went over to Peter's for his Birthday.  Had a lovely Thai meal from Meedee Thai, we ordered way to much food.  It was very delicious what we did order though, might have to give them another go sometime.  I'd had a couple of meals but dismissed them, but their foood on Wednesday was lovely.  We had cake and Peter got a few little presents etc.  His card had a drawn-by-Theo portrait of him. It was a nice night.  Also a special occasion because Joseph got his first Phone!   Yes I can now get Whatsapp messages from Joseph.  Very crazy.  They're all growing up fast.

Took the kids running a couple of times this week - they want to do the Tough Guy/Gal challenge.  We went on Tuesday and then on Friday (today).  Wednesday morning it was raining and Thursday they were tired from staying up late the night before (Grandad's birthday).  Theo's right into it, Beth not so much.

Theo got the nicest little card from his mate Luke this week.  It was hand drawn and inside the card it said "Thank you for being a good frend on the 4/4 at morning tea I thingk you hav a grate sens of hoomr"

Ok that's enough for today.  Time to get back to work!
