Well, like yesterdays title said, a fool and his money are soon parted. I'm sure that Johnnie is now a much happier camper though. They have to make transfering money between countries as hard as possible don't they? The lady today looked like she wanted to kill me when I mentioned I'd like to send money to Aus. Prehaps "sneering at the customers" is part of a bank tellers training, who knows?
So as you've probably noticed I've upgraded the website yet again. I do this mearly to amusing myself and learn stuff, it's pretty hard to make a load of bollocks interesting! If you don't like the new layout feel free to post a comment and complain. I'll make sure I delete it as soon as I see it...
Not a lot planned this weekend. The tramping club aren't doing anything that inspires me to go to that this weekend, they're going off somewhere that costs $80 and you had a book 3 weeks in advance. Booking something 3 days in advance is normally too complicated for my small brain.
I'm told that there's a really cool food and wine festival on over in Devonport. I might catch the ferry over there tomorrow if the weather is nice and check it out. It's ment to be a lot like the Taste of Tasmania, only more people packed into less space. Sounds like fun!
Well that's it for today. It's been another pretty interesting one work wise. We're really close to picking a company to supply us with our new Internet core, and we've been talking with all the different vendors this week and hearing why their product is so much better than their compeditors. We already know who we (the techo people) want to go with, but it's up to management to decide. No doubt they'll make a brain dead decision based on which company publishes the shinest brochure. Ugh. Of course, if anyone from management is reading this, I'm just joking and I'd really love a pay rise! Oh yea and we really do have heaps of respect for you too. *cough* bullshit *cough*
