Stupid Auckland Weather

It's a public holiday here in New Zealand today. It's kind of like the New Zealand version of Australia day, but not quite. I was looking forward to today since last night Natalie asked me if I wanted to go with them to the beach today. Of course, I said yes. So when I woke up (ok, at 11:30am) what's it doing? Pissing with rain! Has it rained here in Auckland at all in the last 3 weeks? Nope. Would I have cared if it had rained in the last 3 weeks? Nope. Did I care today? Yup. Did it rain today? Yup. Seeing a pattern? Stupid Auckland weather.

So it's been a pretty quiet day today. Read a few books, played some guitar, bitched and moaned about the weather a bit more. Of course now (7pm) it's a beautiful sunny night. Bitch complain moan.

I'm cooking myself tea at the moment (curry, yum), everyone else has gone out. Anyway, it's got steak in it which the girls can't have because they're still on their diet. At least I think they are, judging by the crazy stuff in the cupboard. At least I went shopping with them last time, so I was able to buy some food that I actually understood what it was.

Back to work tomorrow. Bet it's a perfect day with not a stupid Auckland cloud in the sky...
