I only wrote one story for Jan. That was a bit slack. I feel like I don't have anytime to sit down and write anything. So really quickly before the kids are up
We have Omicron now. So NZ is getting ready to ramp up cases etc.
The went back to school this week. They seem to be going well so far, though I think Theo finds it hard to understand the teachers because they're all wearing masks most of the time. Beth has to wear a mask too but seems to be coping with that fine.
The pool landscaping will hopefully start this week.
We got a replacement for Blueberry and it seems to work fine cleaning the pool.
I repaced the blades on my lawnmower all by myself. Not a big thing but a big thing for me. When I started it up they didn't fly off and kill anyway and it mows the lawn great again. Yay.
I figured out we're spending shitloads on Elecriticty so have been doing some stuff to try and get on top of that. Moving us to a plan that gives us 3 hours free power, running the (expensive ot run) pool pump during those times. Various other things like that.
Theo had Luke come visit on the weekend while Sarah took Beth to Rollerskating learning on Sunday. Beth goes and meets her friend Ruby at Bay Skate and they spend a couple of hours there. Beth seems to really like rollerskating.
I took Theo on a big 16km ride a few weekends ago. Was probaby a little bit too far for him, but I thought with gears on his bike he'd love it and he did. But yea pretty tired at the end of it but happy as, so that was nice. We sat under a tree at one stage and he told me he really liked "calm moments like these" which was heartmeltingly lovely.
Theo did Beach Karate a couple of weekends ago too on Sunday morning. They all were down at the beach, got in the sea, got knocked over by the waves. He had a great time and they had a little sausage sizzle at the end. I might try and get into Karate again, it's good exercise and it might encourage Theo more.
They've both reading Harry Potter. Or have read it I think. Beth was a bit sad when Dumbeldore died. Theo's also been reading these books that are based in history, I forget what they're called but he loves those too.
Sarah's 40th next Friday.
That's enough, it's bulletpoints and it's terrible, I'll and update more diary, I will.
