Another 2 weeks go by dear diary. Sarah's been really crook since Elton John, laid up in bed with a really bad cough most of the time. I mean she's functional and taking the kids to school and doing a bit of work, but it's really knocked her around badly. The kids still have a bit of a barking cough, but they mostly seem to be over it. Of course the running joke now is that Sarah's got COVID-19. Which of course is in New Zealand now (and Tasmania, I see) so that's just great. Beth's a bit worried about it, not helped by the fact that sometimes when we have dinner in the lounge and the news is on, the news makes it sound super scary and horrible etc and she gets quite worried.
So what's been happening? Well last weekend I got up early and did Parkrun, didn't do a great time though which was annoying. I mean it was 27 minutes or so, not the end of the world. Then it was take Theo to Swimming and take Beth to swimming, then seesh I can't even remember. Oh I remember, yes, I took the kids for a walk up Dobel Reserve with Biscuit which they enjoyed, then I took them home and popped them in front of the couch with Popcorn to watch a movie, while I went to Jordan's house for a BBQ housewarming thingy. That was good fun. Sunday I took the kids into town to the beach to do some searching for feathers, we didn't find very many though, but they had a great time walking along the pebble beach looking for things. It was freezing cold though. Then I zipped back home and Beth and Sarah went to High Tea with Mary/Holly/Isla, so Theo and I went into town to look at the Art Deco planes. We took his bike in and he rode from where we parked into town, to the cafe for a snack, then up to watch the planes. Because it was such a horrid, windy day though the plane show was cut very short, just two quick flying V's and that was it. Oh well, Theo still had a great time.
Another week at work, did a bit of running in the morning too most days. Good stuff Tim, well done.
This weekend Saturday Theo's swimming was cancelled, so I did Parkrun again. A slightly better time, but still crap. I want to get under 25 minutes for the 5km and it's not looking like that's going to happen anytime soon. Need to lose more weight so I can go faster. Back home, Sarah took Beth to her swimming lesson and Theo and I biked over to his party he was invited to for Roman. I think we were the only guests to arrive on pushbike, but it didn't matter Theo had a great time playing with his friends, with the water guns, on the slip'n'slide and eating cake etc. It was a very well done party too, lots of nice healthy snacks for the kids, not just sugar sugar sugar.
Got back and I did a bit more gardening, then went out to Brave to get some Sparkle Juice. It's a lovely Brut IPA they've made once before and I really liked it, so I stocked up and had a few on Saturday night. Sunday afternoon Beth's friend Emma came over, so once again I took Theo out bike riding, we rode over to Peter and Mary's and dropped off Peter's phone that he'd left here from earlier in the morning, then stopped at the cafe for a snack and at the playground.
And that's been that! Quite a quick update, but everyone's good (well apart from Sarah who I hope gets well soon it's been nearly 4 weeks now). Biscuit's good, getting more muscles and meataxe every day. All the running he does with me certainly helps. He's still lovely and as dopey as two planks, now just super strong and super dumb. He's a good boy.
I re-enabled my recent runs and weight loss thingy. Yes, it's reset back to 0 becuase, well I put back on all the weight I lost for my Marathon. So feel free to keep an eye on it and abuse me if I don't run for a couple of days or if the little running man doesn't start showing I'm losing weight!!!
