5k Record / Frozen 2

Submitted by TiM on

I did my ParkRun on Saturday I was quite chuffed with my official time, it was 2 minutes faster than before.  I'll keep doing some training and see if I can't shave it down to under 25 minutes, that's my goal.  I mean it was really hard to get the time I did, so I won't be doing sub 25m anytime soon, but it's good to have goals.

Saturday night Nicola, Steve and their 3 children (well they've got 4 but one didn't come) came over for a BBQ and to discuss backyard options.  Had a nice night, kids didn't end up going to bed until just after 10pm!  So they were pretty knackered the next day, Theo didn't wake up until 9am and even then I had to wake him.

Then it was Frozen 2 time! Beth got into her Frozen dress (here's the on-sale Lamby modelling it for you), both Beth and Theo got some blue in their hair and off we went, picking up Holly and Isla on the way too.  We got to the Cinema and everyone got popcorn and drinks and there were lollies and away we went!  The kids seemed to enjoy the movie, it had a few "scary" bits in it, where the giants were roaming around and that sort of stuff, very loud bass noises shaking the whole cinema.  Theo had big bae and Beth had her blanket too, it was mostly Beth that needed the blanket, Theo didn't really seem to care what was going on as long as a steady supply of lollies were available.

Overall they really seemed to enjoy it I think,  I must say that even the actual storyline was a bit "huh?" for the parents too.  But they were some great moments, they mocked their previous movie a little bit too in ways that the kids didn't understand, was very well done.

Once movie over we all went home for a sleep after the late night beforehand.

And yea, that was pretty much our weekend!  Oh Beth and Theo both did a great job at their swimming lesson, the teacher even came over to me and said she can't believe that Theo's the same little boy that started at the begining with her, he's doing such a good job and is now so confident.  So that's good to hear.

Yea, she still loves lamby.  Every morning she comes out, she sticks lamby's head into the breadbag and then I have to "growl" at lamby for being a naughty lamb and trying to eat all the bread when she shouldn't be.  It's pretty cute, if a little silly.
