The upstairs bathroom is looking really good now, Sarah's done an amazing job (as usual) of bringing something a bit old and drab back to life. There's little shelves to put things on, the new paint looks good. Still not quite finished, we need to paint a few more bits, replace the light and probably buy a new heater. But otherwise it's looking great, certainly a big improvement on how it used to look.
Had to get the septic tank cleaned yesterday. Of late I've noticed water out of the bath and sinks has been quite slow to drain. Plus when I've been out in the vegetable garden I've really noticed the smell from the septic tank area. I did a bit of reading up online and apparently those are two signs that the tank is full. So the tank sucker people came yesterday and confirmed that yes, it's quite full. Only $185 and it's clean now. And now the garden area doesn't smell and the bath water drained out faster yesterday than I've seen in a long time.
The TV is finally getting fixed next week. Just in time for Christmas.
Oh last week we got tickets to Adele in Auckland. We knew it'd be popular and it sure was! But Sarah and I logged on for the presale which I don't think as many people knew about. We were there as soon as they went on sale and Sarah managed to score the tickets she wanted. I was so nervous and panic'd that I got tickets, but I'd selected the wrong ones which where super expensive, so we didn't want those. But all good, Sarah's going to go and see her in Auckland early next year. Excellent.
Last weekend as well we went and picked out a Christmas tree. We might go and get it this weekend.
I think that's all, it's too hard to think of more stuff when you're trying to feed two noisy kiddies.
