Theo is so farty. Every night after a bath in the lounge it's just PRRRRRRPPPTT x 10. Maybe the warm water relaxes him, it certainly used to a little bit when he was still toilet training and let a few poopies go in there. EVERYONE OUT, FLOATER! I don't miss those days, in fact I'm not even sure those days are 100% over. Theo woke up this morning at 5:30am DADDY DADDY DADDY. I rushed down, wondering what the emergency might be. Fallen out of bed? Bad dream? Need to go to the toilet? "Daddy I want Big Bae Nice and flat". Neither Sarah nor I are quite sure where needing Big Bae to be "Nice and flat" all the time came from, but now it's a requirement. Big Bae had fallen off in the night so that was the emergency. Oh well I probably needed to wake up early anyway.
I went to the bookshop a couple of weeks ago to see if I could get some First Reader type books for Beth. I always want to support Wardini, but they didn't have anything like what I was after. On Wednesday night when Beth told me she wanted more books like The Three Billy Goats Gruff I thought I don't know where to get some. But duh, it came to me as I was walking out of the office for lunch yesterday, hello Napier Library. So I walked in there and of course they have a massive section, a whole shelf in fact, of learn to read books. So I grabbed four from there that I thought Beth might find interesting and Sarah spent 20 minutes or so reading them with her last night. She got frustrated about some of the words, but she sticks with it.
Before bed we took done some potatoes and some kumera to "Deb's Shed". One of the local residents has built a wooden shed and you can drop off produce you've grown you don't need, or pick up something you might need but don't have like limes etc. It's pretty neat. We dropped off stuff that technically My Food Bag had "grown" but it's the same thing, someone might need them. It was hard explaining to Beth why we weren't going to grab the Apples that were there.
Happy Birthday for yesterday Mother, hope you had a good day!
You might notice (or might not) I am trying to write in my diary each day, just small stuff, instead of trying to remember an entire 2 weeks. It seems to be working better, but it's only ~day 3 so let's not get too cocky.
