Nailed It

Submitted by TiM on

I've been trying to crack 30km/h average on my bike to work for a couple of weeks now.  Yesterday and this morning I got a couple of 29.4's, I was so annoyed.  So tonight on the ride home I really gave it everything then a bit more, the ol' legs were screaming.  But I managed 33.8km/h average!  I was so happy! And I got home in under 17 minutes, which is a new record as well.  Which given I rode faster it of course means it was going to take me less time, so it's not the second bit should be a shock. Maths.

Anyway. I'm pretty happy with that.

We planted some Little Gardens in the garden tonight.  Beth and Theo dug holes, and then buried their plants accidentally and then Beth kicked one of hers over and was distraught "What happened to him? My little plantie nooooo *tears*" but actually I managed to find it and we planted it anyway.  Hopefully they'll do OK when the sun comes out tomorrow.  We've got 3 courgette plants from 1 little garden pot, those are going to go mental!

Sunday afternoon we went to Mitre 10 as planned, then I took Theo into Train World again because it was raining, he'd much rather go to Anderson Park I think but Train World is a good section option.  It just costs more money.  Sarah took Beth to do some shopping, it's Jack's Birthday this weekend and then Alice's next.  Beth seems to be getting invited to a few Birthday parties so that's nice.

I think that's about it, I mostly wanted to post that I was super happy I finally cracked 30km/h.  I guess 40km/h hour is the next goal but that might be pretty damn hard!  I'm not THAT keen.
