I just replaced the Photos section with a new thingy that is much nicer to use. So the comments I put before are gone. But hey. Progress, or something.

Well it was a bit of a sucky weekend, mainly due to the fact that it couldn't decide if it was going to rain, blow like mad, or just be nice and sunny. I went out yesterday to go to "Big Boys Toys" a car show where you can (if you're fekking loaded) buy the cars on display. No sooner had I walked out the door than it decided to rain on me. I didn't bother to go the Sailing Club either, because with the wind as strong as it was I knew they wouldn't be sailing.
I could have been worse I suppose.
I have been playing with my Camera some more, I've now brought some Black and White film. My main "subject" at the moment is "Kluck", a rubber chicken given to me as a going away present. Kluck is acting like the garden gnome I forgot to...
I've posted some pictures that my flatmate Natalie was kind enough to scan for me. They turned out pretty good, if not a little washed out. I blame the photo processor!!
So the training course was very...
errm, interesting. Not really relevant to what I do, so it was a bit boring in places, especially were it got technical.
I went out last night with the guys from Telstra/Saturn who were up from Wellington. They were good value. Especially when we went to ShowGirls. :)
Anyway, it's Friday night so I'm not going to hang around the office anymore!!

I'm going to be a training course for the next 2 days, so I probably won't update this page until next Monday. Hopefully by then I'll have had some photos scanned in, which I'll post over in the newly created photos section (left hand side menu.)
The new Camera doesn't take half bad photos either.

Like the sheep?
Well it was a pretty good weekend. I went shopping again on Saturday and brought myself some things, and also some stuff as well to go with the things. I also brought myself a nice SLR camera too, so now I can take photos of, you'll never guess, things and stuff. I've already got my first film back, I took some pretty good photos (I think!) of the Hobie 16's at Takapuna yesterday.
I spent yesterday on the committee boat, helping with the starts and course setting and the usual exciting things that you get up to on a committee boat. I also managed to get myself terribly sunburnt too from being on the water for 5 hours. Still I had a pretty good time, the only complaint I have is sailing on a Sunday! Give me Saturday sailing anyday.
The new flat TV has given us...
Well work is getting pretty interesting. Not only is it interesting from a work point of view (I'm working on cool projects and stuff) but it also seems that our new manager is ignoring us. They had 2 meetings today, we're part of that group, and neither myself of Phill (they guy I work with) were invited to the meeting. Needless to say we're a bit pissed off about this fact. I mean, it's not vital or anything, and I don't really like meetings. But to have to hear information 2nd hand isn't really the best way to keep your employees happy.
Still, could be worse I suppose.
My flatmates arrived in late last night carrying a wonderful site. Yes, a TV has arrived! And a VCR! Woohoo. Now I can keep watching all the friends reruns they have over here. I bet I've missed all the good ones.
It...
Well I'm still alive. I've been sick all day today though, but I'm feeling better now. I've found out I can get all my stuff shipped over here for only ~$400 dollars. Only problem is it'll be 5 or 6 weeks before it all gets here. I can't wait until my stereo gets here though. New Zealand's radio stations all suck! I want TripleJ! At least they stream their audio, so I can still listen to Merrick and Rosso.
I haven't been up to much exciting really, kind of hard when you're working all day. I've joined the touch rugby club at work, so that should be fun. I know fook all about rugby, so it should be fun. Hopefully it won't piss down this weekend, and I'll actually be able to go sailing. There is even a wet suit in downstairs in the flat's storage locker, but it looks...
I was happy a nice comfy sleep on my new futon (the old mattress is still sitting in the corner) last night, when the mobile phone rang. I'm not even on recall yet and I'm coming into work at crazy (2:30am) hours. This is one of the "benefits" of living so close to work I think. I don't really mind though, the experience is all good.
Walking towards work I was amazed at how many people are still about at 2:30am on a Monday morning. Lots of people all dressed up like they were going places (or just coming back) You wouldn't think that Monday night was the obvious night to go out. Obviously some of these nutter Kiwi's have other ideas.
Well not much else exciting to report today. Just work and stuff really. My stupid horse in the Melbourne cup didn't win. Good one, Pravda. That's the last...
Today I went up the Sky Tower which was very cool, and very freaky. I'm so scared of heights, and getting right near the edge was just too much for chicken shite me. Still, the view was totally amazing. When I get around to buying myself a camera I'll post a few pictures. Speaking of pictures...
Look what poor Robbie did to his boat! That's one really ruined Hobie 18 hull. Adam, if you're reading this, nice job!
Well my Futon arrived today, so I'm happy. Now I can sleep in comfort, and the Stinking Mattress from the lower bowels of hell will never haunt me again, expect in my dreams. I'm going to try and donate it to the Salvo's, once I've sprayed about 50 cans of Airozone on it to act as a decoy.
Yesterday turned out to be a pretty boring day. All it did was rain...
Today I got paid. I woke up this morning, went to the ATM, then promptly sang a song of happiness that probably startled passersby. Having being paid, I rushed off to the nearest (and only it seems) Futon shop in Auckland. They were happy to provide me with a nice double sized futon, as long as I was happy to provide them with $700.
So the transaction is done, and on Monday I will be the proud owner of 1 futon. So long stinking mattress from hell, so long...
Once I'd been to the Futon shop I was busy on the main road trying to flag down a Taxi to take me back home (It's pissing with rain in Auckland today) I tried about 6 taxis, I don't know what I was doing wrong, but they all refused to stop. Maybe they all thought I'd lose my keys in them...
