Auckland Traffic

Submitted by TiM on

Rage against driving in Auckland. I mean, FEK!! There are too many cars. Saturday afternoon driving is worse than peak hour in Hobart. I tried to figure out how to drive out to Mangere today, and that was a wonderful experience. I finally managed to get to the SPCA on time, how I'll never know though. Motorways and backstreets and arrrgh!! It was much easier on the train, that's for sure.

The SPCA today was good, no evil killer mutts. I was only out there 2 hours (instead of the usual 3) because I had to leave early to go to my hockey match. At least, that was the plan. Could I actually find my hockey match? Nope. The roster said it was at the "grammer" ground. Armed with that mass of information I drove around a number of places, none of which seemed to be hosting a hockey...

Hmmmmm. Beer?

Submitted by TiM on

So I wore my Boags T-Shirt today, in the hope that when I walked into the bottle shop tonight they'd have some. Well, no, not really. It was in fact the only clean looking thing I could find this morning. And no, the stupid bottle shop didn't have any Boags Premium. How frikking hard can it be? Obviously pretty damn hard. I managed to survive anyway on all the other beers on offer.

It was one of "those" nights at work tonight, where someone is leaving (3 people in fact, what does THAT say about this fine company? Ooops) and so someone goes out and buys a few beers. And a bottle of Bourbon. Oh yes, in case you haven't noticed by reading this far, I am in fact quite intoxicated. I hung around and had a few (6) beers, and then wandered off to a friend of mine party...

Go Karting!

Submitted by TiM on

I went go karting today with a bunch of the guys from work. We try and have a group activity each quater, and this time round it was go karting. A bunch of us wanted to go out on the America's Cup yacht, but that was pretty expensive, so go karting it was. I did alright too, which makes a nice change. I came first in the first race and I had the best lap time in the second. No one really cared who won or lost though, it was who could bash the other person into the barriers the most without getting busted. After that we all went to Wendys (McDonalds, but better) to get tea.

Oh yea! Finally someone has proved what we all know anyway...

That wasn't really the BEST food to eat before hockey training, so I was a bit pathetic this time round. It's either...

Webcam Really Is Fixed This Time...

Submitted by TiM on

I had a muppet attack. It's all fixed now. Watch us work!

I brought that Album (No Angel) by Dido last night for something mellow to listen to. It's really cool. Sure, it's been out for ages now, and it's not exactly new, and I could have probably downloaded it off the net. I just had the song stuck in my head, so I had to duck into the record store last night and buy it. Funky stuff.

Busy...

It's been a pretty busy week at work so far, and it's only 2 days in! I've got the webcam working again since we moved office. We're now stuck in this small office down the end of our floor. It's cramped, and we've got no space. Still, things could be worse I suppose.

I can't for the life of me figure out how to open the bonnet on my car. That sucks. I mean, I pull on the "open the bonnet" knobby thing, and does the bonnet open? I don't think so! I'll send Lawrence an email in the next few days, and he can explain the trick to me. Either that or I'll get a large crowbar...

I was getting all ready to walk out the door, but I've realised it's only 4pm!! Here I am typing this thinking it's 5pm. I'd better get back to work...

My Funky Lancer

Submitted by TiM on

Yea! Funky! I've finally got a car. Is it a marvellous piece of magestic grace, speed and beauty? Err, no actually, it's not.

It's white, it's automatic, it has a crappy Japanese FM radio that can pick up 2 stations, both of which suck more than ABC Classic FM .

But hey, it's a frikking car, it goes OK, so I'm happy. I'm not happy about the cost of fuel over here ($1.15 a litre approx) but I don't plan on driving to work or anything like that, so hopefully that shouldn't affect me too much!

I've recovered after yesterdays ranting little post. It's my diary page and I'll post what I want, though sometimes I look back at it and go "ugh, that sucks". Which is how I feel about yesterdays little post. Anyway!

I rang up Gordon today to apologise for not playing Hockey yesterday (or the week...

Rage against everything.

I'm writing this very hungover (still 1/2 drunk), so excuse anything that I say and stuff. I went out to a party last night, and had a few too many beers. As you do, or something. Very interesting party, most of the partygoers were goths, so it was all very black, lots of candles, some freaky arse haircuts. ie pretty fucked up right here. Or there. What was I doing at a goth party? Fucked if I know either. Long story, don't ask. It was made worse by the fact that I only had a white T-Shirt and jeans. This in a sea of black. Ugh.

So what else is news? I haven't updated this page in ages, and I reckon if I put my mind to it I could write about 10 pages worth of shite. I can't be bothered writing most of it though, so tough luck. Work...

Stuff.

Yea I'm alive. I've been doing stuff. Wellington was cool. Didn't play hockey on the weekend, had something else on. Get my car this weekend, not last weekend like I thought. Duh. Hope you get better soon Rob. I might write a proper entry one day this week. I might not.
