I haven't updated this page in a few days, nothing terribly interesting has been happening. Yesterday was a public holiday in Auckland too. It was "Auckland annversary day", whatever that is. Still, it ment a day off work so I wasn't about to complain.
My stuff still hasn't arrived, but this could possibly be because I haven't actually bothered to go and withdraw a cheque for $35 to give to the scum sucking pigs. Sorry, I ment the shipping company.
Living in the middle of the city can certainly have it's downfalls. Take last night for example. At about 12:30am some drunken people decided that having a party in the courtyard downstairs would be a fun thing to do. Normally that wouldn't be such a bad thing, but on a Monday night? When everyone had to get up and to go work on Tuesday? I'm suprised no one complained, I was certainly thinking about throwing a couple of bricks out the window to see who they landed on. Then at about 5am it seemed the national "who can throw up the loudest" competion had began. Wonderful stuff.
On the advice of a local yesterday I decided to go for a walk along the harbour, down towards mission bay. It was a really long walk, but well worth it. It was a beautiful warm 25degree day, and when I finally got to Mission Bay an hour and half later I hired a Catamaran for an hour and went for a blast. It was really nice, there were heaps of other boats on the water, and it was lovely and warm. I just wish I'd brought a chance of clothes. Walking 10k in wet undies isn't the most comfortable experience as I'm sure you can imagine...
I still havn't brought myself a bike, but I'm really close now! :)
I went for a walk up to the bike shop on Saturday and had a look around. I want to get a small light BMX. Now which of the 300 models to choose? So I gave up and I'll go back after next pay day.
Well that's about it really. Wish I'd been home for the AC/DC concert, sounds like it was pretty good. Maybe they'll come over to ol' sheep land in a few months or something. I can hope...
