Welcome to the World F̶r̶a̶n̶k̶i̶e̶ Fletcher Harman

Submitted by TiM on

He's arrived!  Big congratulation to Jeremy and Nicole on the arrival of F̶r̶a̶n̶k̶i̶e̶ Fletcher Harman, born 12.09pm on Thursday the 7th February, 3.38kg!  One day soon we'll get used to the fact his name isn't Frankie, but today isn't that day yet.  The kids aren't quite sure why he's got a "new" name and it's too hard to explain.  Theo took a picture of Fletcher to Kindy on Friday and showed him off for news.

Went for a 15km run this morning!  My longest run in a very long time.  Both knees held up really well, a couple of hours later and neither of them is sore or tired.  Did it just over an hour and a half too, so pretty happy with that.  I'd like to be a bit faster but all I really care about now is making it all the way, speed be damned.

I picked a watermelon and gave it to kindy on Wednesday, I think they ate it up for their afternoon tea.  Still have about 12-13 out in the garden going bonkers, they just grow and grow and grow!  They're so tasty.

Work is super flat out busy now.  As expected, we're got more work than people.  Still there has to be come overall changes to the way things are run for us to be successful in the long term, but some small changes are happening so I hope that's the beginning of a lot of bigger changes.

We went to Peter and Mary's on Wednesday night for dinner - both for dinner and to listen to the Phil Collins concert.  Well not really to listen to it, but we wanted to hear a bit of it.  Shame for all the people, it was totally pissing with rain.  Peter and I walked down to the concert gates and I made Peter give this live report on Facebook for everyone to have a chuckle at.  I think Peter would make a natural TV presenter!  We had a lovely dinner anyway!

Thursday was back to work, as was Friday.  Friday night (last night) we went around to Holly and Adrian's for dinner for Sarah's Birthday (her actual Birthday is this Monday) because Peter, Mary and Maggie have gone down to Queenstown for a few days.  Lucky them!

Biscuit had Biscuit training on Tuesday and was much, much better than last week.  They said it was obvious we'd been doing our homework because of how good it was with his sits and his stays.  I agree, he was really good, and yes we did do a lot of work with his sits and his stays.  After this in fact I might go out and do a bit more training with him to make sure he's all ready for this coming Tuesday night.

Going out tonight for Sarah's Birthday!  Holly and Age are going to look after the kiddies for the night, lucky us!  Poor Theo has a nasty cough at the moment, he seems otherwise happy though he does get a bit of a temp every now and then.  Hope he's better soon.

Tim
