Fantastic!
It's still stinking hot here in Auckland. My little weather thingy told me today that the humidity had gotten up to 80% today. That promptly sparked a major debate amongst the people I work with as to what exactly humidity is. The debate has only been more heated once before, when we got to discussing how they make stripy toothpaste. That argument I even marched down to the local store to buy some stripy toothpaste, just to cut it open and see what's in there. But the store didn't have any! That debate's still on hold at the moment. I must buy some tonight so we can cut it open tomorrow and see what's inside.
Anyway, as I was saying, still very very sticky and horrible here in Auckland. I ended up buying a fan after work last night so that I could actually get some sleep last night. That was $50 very well spent, I got to sleep and didn't wake up until the alarm went off this morning.
Our new IP manager is coming up to Auckland tomorrow to met me and Phill. Hopefully he's going to be a really clueful person, and someone we can rally around so we don't get shat on from above like seems to be the norm at the moment. So fingers crossed we'll have a good IP manager, and actually have some proper direction for the future.
I went up the Sky Tower again today. Woohoo. I'm getting better with heights now. No longer do I walk around the place scared shitless. You still won't find me casually leaning up against the windows or anything, but I'm not a quivering bunch of jelly like I was the first time I went up there. I was looking through a magazine my flatmate Kate gave me last night, and I've decided that I am definetly going to go Sky Diving.
Stopped laughing yet? I'm seriously going to do it. Not the one where you have to learn all the moves and what to do it. I'm just going to go the "cheating" way and get strapped onto someone else who's done it a million times before. If I remember tomorrow I'm going to ring up and find out how much it costs and when I can do it. 500km rush towards the earth here I come!!
