Back To Hobart!

Submitted by TiM on

Well I'm flying back to good ol' Hobart tomorrow on the Damn-it's-way-too-early-for-this-flying-crap flight from Auckland to Melbourne. I was going to bitch about the 2.5 hour wait in Melbourne, but one of my mates who lives there is going to come to the airport so we can have a beer or sixteen and catchup with what's been happening.

I'm really looking forward to it all now. I've got the best man speech pretty much written up, nothing too embarassing for the groom. There is nothing worse than a wedding where all sorts of terrible things get dragged up and everyone ends up looking at their feet or the roof because it's embarassing. So none of that. The bucks night for tomorrow night is also pretty much organised too. I was going to go all out and get the mystery bus tour etc, but I don't think there will be enough people to justify the $300 cost. So Pub Crawl it will just have to be!! Good thing the wedding isn't until Saturday!

Nothing much else of major interesting has been happening. I've been trying to keep my New Year's resolution to "get fit", which currently involves going for a run every night. At this rate I think my resolution is going to hold out for about another week before I think "F*ck this" and sit on the couch drinking beer instead. They gym down the road from our place has a special on at the moment, obviously designed to grab the attention of the all the poor suckers (me) who made stupid New Years resolutions. Maybe I'll call them a bit later. Maybe pigs will fly.

I didn't hear any more about the stabbing outside our place that is supposed to have happened. It didn't make the news or anything, so who knows. The amount of screaming and wailing the drunk people make over in the church yard would have to put any stabber off. Or prehaps the stabber was another resident of 182 Federal St who had finally had enough of their stupid screaming and wailing. Who knows.

Anyway, enough ranting. Hobart here I come!
