Nothing Much To Say Today.

Submitted by TiM on

Nothing much has been happening today, just back to work as usual. There are still heaps of people away so getting stuff done can also be a bit of a problem. The Giant Santa is still waving at us, beckoning us to come into the bookstore to buy Christmas things. Stupid Santa. Someone should really pull him down, seeing as Christmas has been and gone, as has New Year.

I've finally tracked down my MiniDisc player. It got sent back up to Travers who's in Launceston. For those that don't know what I'm taking about, don't worry. Suffice to say my MiniDisc player has pretty much taken the grand tour of Tasmania. I can't wait to get my hands on it though, as my stuff still hasn't arrived here in Auckland and I don't really hold a lot of hope that it's going to get here before the end of January. I need music!

Chris's Wedding is approaching fast. I'll be back in Hobart of the 11th of Jan at 1pm, so if anyone would like to come and pick me up from Hobart Airport I'd really love that. How vain is that? Using your own website to solicite favours. Life goes on. For some.

I signed up today to help out the SPCA (NZ version of the RSPCA) on the weekends. They need people to walk and feed and generally be nice to their dogs (and cats and budgies and other wierd critters too I suppose) and I think it's a pretty good cause. That and the fact I currently have stuff all else on on a Saturday. Am I ranting? Probably. I could rant about how the pipes in my bedroom bang and moan late at night, and I think it's cause the freak who lives in the apartment above me is taking a shower or something, but I won't do that because I don't want to bore my audience (what few members there are! ;)

I'm currently reading a book Johnnie (Dad) sent me for Christmas. It's by Paul McDermott (Doug Anthony All Stars, Good News Week), It's called The Forgetting of Wisdom and it's very funny. Buy, loan or steal a copy if you get the chance.

Take Care!
