Puffy / Sarah's First Week

Submitted by TiM on

So the new car has been going great, no problems etc.  If anything I've just been finding all its little features, some of which seem wild for a 2011.  I like how the doors lock when you start driving (Theo and I tested what speed it was they locked, we figure it's about 17km/h), the lighting inside is really good, there's little cup holders in the back we didn't notice.  It will warn if you go over a certain speed, the speed is configurable.  The Android Auto works well (Admittedly that's an aftermark stereo feature).  She seems really light on the gas too, I've driven it to and from work each day this week and I've only used what looks to be about a 1/3 of a tank of petrol, if even that.  The Turbo engine is nice a peppy too, she has some good acceleration when required.  So yea, pretty happy with the little beast.  I see heaps of other VW Golfs out and about too now that I'm looking for them, so that's a good sign.  Still haven't seen a single Panda...

I was looking at old videos last night and I found this hilarious one. COME AND WIPE MY BOTTOM CAUSE I WENT POOS.  I'll have to show it to him this morning, see if he laughs.  He'll probably get annoyed me with me.  Oh no he's just got up and he thought it was funny.

Sarah's first week at work this week, she seems to be enjoying it.  She said on Wednesday that she felt like she'd been there for 2 weeks already, instead of 3 days.  So that's good she's finding her feet pretty quickly.  He old work's been in contact with her and said they've got 3 people doing the work she was doing and they still can't get as much done as she was doing, nor believe that she was doing it by herself.  Yes, that's right, that's why she resigned you dingbats!

Kids first week back at school too, I've been dropping them off in Puffy most mornings, though yesterday morning I walked up with them and Theo rode his new scooter.

The new car is called "Puffy" because the numberplate starts with PFF.  They wanted to call it Poof or Poofy but we had to suggest that wasn't a great time.  I told the guys at work this, which was dumb, because I can assure you they don't call the car Puffy...

There was a working bee outside on Gordon St yesterday, so I helped out for an hour in the morning clearing out weeds and non-native plants and all sorts.  It looks so much nicer there now, I'm glad the residents decided to give it a facelift!  The council came and took away all the rubbish too.  Be a nice place to let Biscuit have a sniff around now.

That'll do, today is swimming and voting day.
