Farewell Granny
Said goodbye to Granny yesterday after 6 weeks of having her here to visit. The kids are going to miss her heaps, already both of them have said as much. They've had such a great time with her, especially out on the farm. I remember one morning when we went to pick them up and they'd just finished feeding the cows some hay and they were in the wheelbarrow with Granny pushing them around the paddock!
I scootered out to the airport at 12:30pm to say a final farewell. Theo was there too with Sarah, he was feeling quite sad yesterday, probably a side-effect of his 4 year old "well child" check-up and injections the day before. He handed his check-up and injections a lot better than Beth, I remember he coming home telling us that her arms weren't' working, sure that we'd disabled her for life. We were talking to Granny for so long that she nearly missed her flight out of Napier, I got up to take Theo to the toilet when I realised that the last person was getting on the plane! "Mum this is your flight!" so we had to have a bit of a rush and then because she was last it was a bit of panic because there were two planes on the tarmac and it wasn't clear which was the one to Auckland (they both had an Auckland sign). Thankfully some helpful people in the waiting area pointed to the right plane for her.
One we'd said goodbye I scootered back to work, joy of joys.
And yes, farewell Granny. It's been so lovely having you here, thank you for all your help and child minding and just general joy that you bought with you (and Bilby too!)
