Happy 6th Birthday Bethany Bongles
Beth turned 6 yesterday. In all the excitement and business of the day, I forgot to publish a story then!
We are so proud of you little sausage, you're kind and caring to your brother (well, everyone really) and you're doing so well at school with your reading and writing.
I made pancakes for her birthday, which she was quite happy with, as was Theo. Then we had some presents, she got new shoes, a new skirt from Auntie Maggie, a new schoolbag that's big and can fit all her books and things in. A new TY who's name is errr, I can't remember. But its Birthday is the 25th of March, Beth's told me that about 6 times.
Chris and Barbs came home last night (we didn't see them) so Granny has moved in for a couple of days before she heads home tomorrow. It's been really good that she can be here for both my Birthday and for Beth's. We had a nice dinner last night, Peanut Satay and Rice which Beth says is her favourite.
Had a wild Saturday night, Beth's disco party. 19 children all with glow sticks and sugar highs. It was only two hours but it felt like two weeks. Not that it was bad in any way, everyone had a great time. The only tears were Beth's when she didn't win musical statues. Sarah bought so many things for the party, it was great. There was a huge balloon garland, 50 balloons. At least Sarah also bought a machine to blow up the balloons, so it was fairly quick and easy to do. Plus 10 ballons that had little LED lights in them so they glowed, but they were a bit stupid and only about half of them actually worked. Still, the ones that did looked awesome. And two blacklights that went in the loungeroom light sockets, they really made the disco awesome as everyone's white clothes lit up! It really was a great party. Thankfully every parent turned up at 7pm to collect their child/children and we were all done and dusted by 7:30pm. Still it felt like it was about 10:30pm. Phew!
Aside from that not a lot happening. Plus I'm at work and have to get busy.
