Beth's First Lost Tooth

Submitted by TiM on

Beth's first tooth came out last night.  It's been wobbly for about 2 months, even before we went to Thailand.  Finally last night we couldn't stand the tension anymore.  She'd brushed it and it would pretty much go horizontal, but it still wasn't coming up.  Sarah asked her if she wanted to pull it out with a string, to which she replied yes!  Not something I really thought that Beth would be up for, but she was.  So Sarah tied a string on and *yoink*, she pulled it out!  How brave is that?  For someone who's usually scared of anything like that, it was extra super brave of her.  So that's the story of how Beth's first tooth came out!

Sarah put the special Gold Coin she bought from the Tooth Fairy, along with $5 in coins, under her pillow last night and she was very excited when she woke up this morning.

What else what else... We had a nice weekend!  Friday night was the Arthur Miller school quiz, was was lots of fun.  We went with Steve and Nicola, plus Treena and .... (Rob's wife) and had a great time.  Thank you very much Granny and Bilby for looking after not only Beth and Theo but also Joseph and Isla.

Saturday morning I took Theo to his kindy friend Caleb's birthday party.  Took him a while to warm to everyone, but he was soon having a great time playing with the other kids, the dump trucks etc.  And of course the excitement of the chocolate cake.  Saturday afternoon Sarah and I went to the Rocketman sing-a-long.  No one really sang-a-long though.

Sunday morning we took the kids for a bike ride, I have a new "Bike Buddy" seat on my bike so Theo can sit in front of me and we can ride together.  Beth rode her bike by herself.  We all rode up to Pettigrew Arena and back.  It was good fun, though Beth really had to grizzle for half of it.  On the way back she nearly crashed hard coming down a minor incline, I managed to get off my bike and catch her.  So she was in tears, then I turned around and Theo was also in tears because in my haste to leap off my bike I hadn't done a very good job of making sure he'd be OK! Argh

For the rest of the ride home Sarah spent a lot of time with Beth helping her to learn braking.  Hopefully that works!

Sunday lunch we went to Maisy and Wal's house to have lunch with Granny and Bilby.  Then come to do some washing and other chores.

The End!
