Cross Country / Jed Harman 40 Years!

Submitted by TiM on

First of all, a big Happy Birthday to my Brother who turns the big four oh today.  I sent him a picture of the milk carton in the office yesterday, it said on it "Best Before 12th September".  Not sure he appreciated my brilliant humour as much as I did...

It was Beth's first Cross Country yesterday!  She did a great job, Uncle Age was there to support Joseph (and Beth) and got this great little video of her running.  Because it was Tuesday, it was Theo's day to spend with Grandma so Grandma and Theo went along too to support.  And while seeing Beth running along, Theo broke free of Grandma's clutches and joined in the race!  Uncle Age got a couple of little motion photos of Theo finishing the race after having joined in, and then walking back to Grandma after finishing [Click on the photos that pop up to see the 2 mini-videos].  Go Theo!  So funny to hear he was so keen to join in that he just sprinted off.  Judging by the smiles and laughter he was quite the attraction, good work Theo!

Beth's still excited about school, today she was happy to head off because it's Library day and they get to take out two books for the week to bring home.  She'll love that.

Spend half of yesterday at work packing up all the large-powercomany equipment from the dev rack - they wanted it back and pronto.  That was a fun excerise, it's all boxed up and ready to get shipped back to New Plymouth today sometime.

Managed to average 30.3km/h on my bike ride to work this morning.  I usually don't bother trying to get to work fast, but it was a nice still morning and I made good time to the first set of traffic lights, which went Green as I got to them, so I thought I'd keep trying and yea, got to work in a new record, 17 minutes and 54 seconds, under 18 minutes!  I won't be doing that again in a real hurry though.
