Racing Sim, A Plethora of Bethany's Words

Submitted by TiM on

Tuesday night sitting around the dinner table eating noodles.  There were thick noodles and thin noodles.  Sarah got the kids to have Noodle Races to encourage them to eat their noodles/dinner.  Bethany pops out with "Mummy, I have a *quietly* plethora... of noodles".  It was so cool! I've been teaching her that one for ages because I've always loved it.  She wasn't quite sure she used it right, but once she realised she lit up too, proud of herself.

She can also read all of the "First Reader" parts of The Three Billy Goats Gruff.  She doesn't even struggle with too many of the words, some of the longer sentences she can just read naturally, it's very impressive.  Well I think it is, for a 4 yo!

She had another school visit yesterday too, went quite well.  I had to give her a few cuddles and encourage her to play a few times, but when the teacher asked questions Beth's hand shot up, she was very keen to show she knew the answers etc.  So I think she's going to do just fine when it comes to being a student.

Yesterday for work we went to Battle Cave for a few hours, it's a computer gaming place.  Not usually my thing, but they had driving simulators there, one of which was a proper V8 Supercar simulator.  Basically this thing, with the motion and 3 screens etc. It was amazing, when the car fishtailed the whole seat would fishtail, you could FEEL the car slipping out.  Mental.  I want one, I asked how much they cost and they're $50k.  Which is a bit out of my price range.  One day when we win lotto, that's what I'll get.

Better get back to work, they're drilling/banging overhead today, it's very noisy and annoying.
