Still Sick
I'm still sick, Sarah's crook, Theo's nose is running majorly and Beth's still got a nasty cough. I can't believe how long this has been hanging around us all, it's mental. It's been ~3 weeks since I felt normal, I'm going to have a painkiller habit if this keep up much longer.
Theo woke up really early this morning, probably his cold was giving him grief. I tried to give him a sleep before it was swimming time. This term swimming has moved from 3:30 in the afternoon to 11:30 in the morning. Which is annoying because they didn't really communicate this to us very clearly, so Sarah was there at 3:30 a few weeks ago wondering why the place was closed up. And 11:30 is right when Theo would usually be having a sleep, so now we have to try and either get him down to sleep really early, or take him swimming when he's tired with no sleep. Ugh you can tell I'm sick can't you because all I'm doing is moaning. Anyway he went today and he was a champion, I tried to put him down for a sleep before we went and I think maybe he had one, but when I went to wake him up he was playing around, so maybe he didn't sleep. Either way he did a great job swimming today, doing some excellent monkey monkey and even being happy being taken underwater to pickup toys on the mat at the bottom. He also was keen to jump off the ramp and all sorts, great going Theo.
While we were at swimming, Sarah took Beth to see "The Little Mermaid". Sarah said the whole thing went quite well, Beth only needed to go to the toilet about 3 times. Though before the end when it was all getting to dramatic Beth loudly announced that she wanted to leave.
Had a lovely night with Theo last night while Beth was upstairs playing with Sarah. I helped him have a shower, which he loves. "Closadoor Daddy". He washes himself pretty well and wiggles around like a little worm in there, he's so funny. Then I hopped him out, which of course caused tears and a major tanty because he loves being in the shower. Once he'd recovered from that though we sat together on the couch, watching The Wiggles and singing along to some of the songs, though he mostly thought it was funny that I was singing too. Once that was done he hopped down and turned off the TV, grabbed little bae (who had been wrapped around him the whole time watching The Wiggles) and dragged it happily down the hall into his room. Then he gets into his bag, "feet go here Daddy" he says as he points where to put his feet. Then we zipped it up together, read Thomas the Tank Engine, A Peppa Pig book and finally Wheels on the Bus. Then I tucked him into bed and he was out like a light. He's such a little character, totally into diggers and trucks and tractors and all those things. And I don't think we've ever encouraged his interested in them anymore or less than we ever did with Beth. He just loves them all.
Pretty busy week this week, work seemed to be drying up there for a little bit, then the flood gates have opened. It's going to be a rough couple of months!
