Beer Appreciation Day
Yesterday was Beer Appreciation Day! And what a great day it was. Lots of very tasty beers to choose from, good company. I went with Tobbe, one of my workmates and a bunch of people he knows that are all beer appreciaters. There was lots of dicussion about homebrew and how best to do it and all that sort of stuff. Had a really good time, it's just a small outside area wwith about 5 beer tents, each tent usualy had under it 2-3 brewers. My local favourite, Brave Brewing was there with a tasty unfiltered IPA style beer that was very nice.
Poor Theo got bitten by a bee today! I was mowing lawns so I didn't hear, it wasn't until I stopped and Beth told me he'd been bitten that I knew. Though to be fair, I wasn't really sure I trusted her to present me with such news. But Sarah said she'd found him in mega tears, pointing to his foot where she found a large bee sting still sticking out. Poor little fella. Doesn't seem to have been any nasty last effects though, just a sore bubba foot.
What else did we do today? I took Beth and Theo for a play in Anderson Park, I saw that the minature trains were open so we went for a ride on those. Theo was SO excited about the trains. I bought a ticket for them both and gave them their ticket to hold. Beth lost hers and a it blew away and was dropped a couple of times. Theo kept a grip onto his like a vulture. Eventually when it was our turn to get the train Theo really had a fit with excitement. He loved it, utterly loved it. Giggling and laughing and pointing and excited when the whistle would blow. I mean Beth enjoyed it too, but Theo was so excited he was shaking a little bit.
After we'd been for a train ride, a walk around the park (we had Rusty) and 2 stops to the toilet for Beth, we headed off to The Warehouse to buy a little TV for the upstairs bedroom. We bought it and then came home. And as soon as I got it out of the box we saw it was totally crushed in one corner, I went ARHASDFHDFSAHDSAHDSF and drove back to The Warehouse to get another one. The second attempt was much better. It's just a cheap JVC but it has HDMI which is all that matters.
Oh and we got antoher load of $90 firewood in the afternnon which is good, all I've got to do is stack it in the woodshed now and I think we'll be good for Winter. Yah.
