Two Weeks Break (From writing my diary)

Submitted by TiM on

Well, two weeks into the new year and I'm only up to my second diary post. It's getting harder and harder to update the ol' diary I tell you, there's always something going on somewhere. By the time I get to sit down at the end of the I'm so knackered I can't be bothered trying to write anything. I'm forcing myself today, otherwise my brain is going to start leaking the old information. Not that there's any great information in here to leak, but you know.
Theo's starting to think about walking. He's been to the Dr for a referral, just in case something's wrong. But he seems to be doing all the right things, he's always pulling himself up and he can now get from sitting to standing, he just doesn't seem to like it. He's so fast crawling around I guess he's just happy doing it that way. We played with them the other night, showing him he could take a step or two and he really loved the praise that he got when he did it. So he tried a few more times the next morning but has since mostly gone back to crawling. Though apparently at Jenny's today he started to try and take a few steps.
His blanket fixation hasn't stopped. "Bae" as it's now called is often requested. The other morning he wouldn't even have breakfast without Bae being available too him, but most mornings I district him by letting him pick out his own bananas, or helping me put a bit of toast in the toaster, that keeps him happy. Hopefully he'll start toddling around non-stop soon and I'll be looking back at this diary posting saying "Wow remember when he didn't walk everywhere?"

The last two weeks of work have been very busy, I am taking a break for the big power company I've been working with and going back to the trusted Telco that we do a lot of work for tomorrow. Looking forward to that, it'll be a nice break. Last Thursday we invited Sam (workmate, who used to work for said Power company but now works for us) over for dinner and a few drinks, was good fun. Drank lots of craft beer and talked crap for a couple of hours! Good way to decompress for a bit, even though it's only the second week in.

Haven't done too much the last few weekends, this weekend Sarah had a Tupperware Party on Saturday, so I looked after Beth and Theo while that was on. Sunday we went into town and did a bit of shopping, got a Donut from Steve, had some lunch at Cappadonia cafe.

Happy Birthday for yesterday Dad!

They resurfaced the road out the front today. I thought these things usually took them weeks, but they did it today in less than 3 hours. Start to finish. Crazy.

That'll do.

Tim
