Weekend Report (Holy Shite! It didn't rain!)

Submitted by TiM on

Can our hockey team get any better? I don't think so. We won 10-0 today, which is pretty good. I had 3 shots on goal, 2 that were just plain crap and never going to go in (note to self: Aim before firing) and 1 that was stopped right on the line in the most amazing fashion by the goalie. Prick. We even had a shot that went it, but it hit the back of the net really high and bounced out. No one realised it was actually a goal until after. Still, when you won 10-0 it's not really a big problem is it?

So I gave in to my promise not to tell the guys about last Monday morning and my frikking head tattoo. Of course they all thought it was funny as hell, and gave me lots of shit about it. Hell, they were giving me shit about it before I told them so there wasn't much lost in telling them. I'll get them back, somehow.

SPCA yesterday was excellent. For once this weekend in Auckland has been totally amazing, lots of sun and it hasn't rained once. Seeing it was such a nice day yesterday there were heaps of public walking around the place, and as a result we had about 6 dogs get adopted out yesterday! That's certainly the most in a day since I've been there, usually you're lucky if 3 dogs go. But most of yesterday was spent showing dogs to people and talking to them, rather than actually walking/feeding them. It makes you really happy to see them go home with nice people

I spent most of today cleaning up, washing floors, doing these really really exciting domestic type things that I'm sure you're all totally interested in. I also took my poor BMX for a ride today, it's been ages since I've taken it out. Mostly due the fact it just rains here. But I got a good ride today, and nearly hurt myself a few times. I've been watching the X-Games on Sky the last few days and I must admit to sitting there a few times thinking "Hell, I could do that." Turns out it's not actually that easy to do all those funky tricks as it looks on TV. Oh well, at least I managed to steer clear of any buses. Robbie. ;)

Time to go cook myself some tea and take the rubbish out! Woohoo!!
