Big Long Update

Submitted by TiM on

We're sitting at home on this crappy Auckland Sunday. As usual it's raining and freezing cold. It doesn't help that we're both now sick. I'm still getting over this evil cough and poor KA has caught the flu that everyone seems to be getting! We've got loads of various pills now, so hopefully we'll both be better soon!

I was down in Wellington on Friday for Phill's going away party. We also had a big meeting during to day to make some major decisions about the future of our network. It's a good thing we had the meeting, at least everyone is on the same level now etc. After the meeting we went out for a few drinks at the Paris Cafe which is on the bottom floor of the Wellington office. We presented Phill with his card and a book of NZ photos to take back to Hobart. Me and Phill had to leave at 7:30 though, cause one of the sales guys in Auckland had brought us both tickets to the rubgy (league) that was in Wellington. Aussie vs Kiwis! It was a fantastic match, made even better by the fact that the Aussies kicked the Kiwis 28-10. I got pelted with chips and plastic mugs etc all the time the match was on, cause I kept getting up and screaming at the top of my voice. Especially when we scored tries. The Kiwis kept singing "Here's a song that won't take long, all Aussies are bastards", but it wasn't helping their team any. I'm not a rugby fan, but it was totally awesome to go and see a match live. Thanks Mark for buying us the tickets. And thanks Phill for all your help etc, I wish you all the best back in Hobart.

What else? I have a couch now. Thanks heaps to Simon and Hera, they went out yesterday and brought themselves a new lounge suite, so they passed this couch on to KA and me. Woohoo! Something to sit on now.

I think that's about it really. I've got a hockey match this afternoon, but I'm only going to go along and spectate, I'm not really feeling well enough to run around a ground for an hour plus.
