Go Karting!
I went go karting today with a bunch of the guys from work. We try and have a group activity each quater, and this time round it was go karting. A bunch of us wanted to go out on the America's Cup yacht, but that was pretty expensive, so go karting it was. I did alright too, which makes a nice change. I came first in the first race and I had the best lap time in the second. No one really cared who won or lost though, it was who could bash the other person into the barriers the most without getting busted. After that we all went to Wendys (McDonalds, but better) to get tea.
Oh yea! Finally someone has proved what we all know anyway...
That wasn't really the BEST food to eat before hockey training, so I was a bit pathetic this time round. It's either that, or the fact I haven't played for 2 weeks. Hmmmm. Even worse, this weekend is SPCA, and that happens to clash nicely with my hockey match. That sucks hard. AND my mate Chesty is in New Zealand (about a 4 hour drive from Auckland) and he leaves on Sunday. What a bummer of a weekend. Still, I have plenty to do!!
Work is really busy at the moment, there is plenty of stuff to do. There are a lot of deadlines that I'm never going to meet (no my fault), so I hope I don't get in trouble. I'm sure I won't. How can I, when it's not my fault? Plus I'm down in Wellington again next week for training, then also again the next week. Woohoo!
Anyway, it's late and it's time to get some sleep. I'm making it my A1 mission tomorrow to go and buy myself a decent Doona (NZers insist on calling it a Duvay..) cause the one I have a the moment is pathetic, and it's SOOOO cold at night in this house it's not funny. I've been wearing my beanie AND a jumper. Brrrrrrr. I also need to buy myself a heater for my room. Anyway, that's what tomorrow is for!
