The MR2 Hunt begins...

Submitted by TiM on

Well I didn't have much to do today so I rode my bike around some of the car dealerships around the place to see if anyone had an MR2 I'd like. No luck! I can find them with either the turbo and automatic transmission, or standard with manual transmission. Arrrgh! Typical. Plus most of them are 1990/91 models, I want at least a 92/93. Seeing as how I haven't actually won lotto yet it's not a big problem though, I am just looking.

One of the guys at work is moving to Australia (wise move!) in the next few weeks. He wants to sell his car, so I said I'd buy it. At $1500 it's a pretty good price. It's an automatic, but it'll do until I find myself a nice MR2 to buy!! You know what one of the car dealers said to me today? The reason he didn't have any MR2 turbo was because they're dangerous, and people get killed in them. He tried so hard to deliever this line with sincerity, but I nearly burst out laughing at him! Please! I didn't bother to point out the Audi Turbo behind him, I think would have pissed him off. At least most the other dealers were honest (I think. Probably not? Who knows...) when they said that they're (turbo/manual) very hard to get hold of. Oh yea, back to this car Lawrence is going to sell me (I hope). I'm going to take it for a test drive next weekend, and if it's OK (he assures me it's A1) then I'll buy it! It even has a toeball to tow around the boat that I don't own yet!

My room is finally tidy now that I've got furniture. I havne't bothered to paint it like I was going to over Easter, it's been too rainy and overcast the whole time. I still need to get myself a desk and a chair to put my computers and stuff on, but I'm pretty setup now! I've found out the lease on this place runs out in June, and it looks like Greg and Kim are going to be moving out. So I suppose I have the option of taking the place myself and getting some new flatmates, or moving out again. Not sure what I'll do yet, I'm worry about that when the time comes. I'm just glad to be out of the city!

I took some photos of my new place, my bike, and various other stupid things, I'll post them sometime this week when I can be bothered to get the film developed.

Anyway, enough of this crap. I hope everyone had a good Easter. I know I did, and I didn't really do sqaut!!
